(5/83) And when they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger (Qur’an), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognized. They say: “Our Lord! We believed (became Amenu)! So write us down with the witnesses”. (5/84) And why should we not believe in Allah and in that which has come to us of the Truth (in the Qur'ân and the Messenger) while we earnestly hope that our Lord should cause us to enter (Heaven) along with the Sâlihîn (improved people)? (5/85) So because of what they said, Allah rewarded them Heavens under which the rivers flow, they will abide therein forever. Such is the Reward of the Muhsinûn. (5/86) And those who disbelieve and deny Our Verses, these are the Ashab-ı Cahîm (companions of Hell). (5/87) O you who believe! Do not forbid the good and clean things which Allah has made lawful for you. And do not exceed the limits. Verily, Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. (5/88) And eat of the clean and lawful things that Allah has given you and have piety towards Allah in whom you believe. (5/89) Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths. But He calls you to account for the making of deliberate oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy out of the middling you feed your families with, or their clothing, or the freeing of a slave. But whosoever cannot find these, should fast for three days. This is the expiation of your oaths when you break them (your oath). And guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His Verses, that you may be grateful. (5/90) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Wine and gambling and stone alters (idols to worship) and fortune arrows are only filthy work amongst Satan’s handiwork. Stay away from these. So that you may have Salvation. (5/91) Yet Satan seeks only to cast among you enmity and hatred by means of Wine and gambling, and to keep you off from the remembrance of Allah and from the Prayer. Have you stopped (these)? (5/92) And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and be cautious (of opposing them). But if you turn back, then know that Our Messenger’s duty is only to convey (the Message) in the clearest way. (5/93) On those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and do improving deeds (cleansing the souls’ hearts) there is no sin for what they ate, when they did not have piety (the 1st Takwâ). And be âmenû (believe) and do improving deeds (the 2nd Takwa). And thereafter have piety (have the 3rd Takwâ). Be âmenû (believe) and then have piety (the 4th Takwâ) and be the best of the best (Ahsen). And Allah loves the Muhsin ones (those who became the best of the best, and have the 4th Takwâ). (5/94) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Allah will certainly try you in respect of some game which your hands and your lances can reach, that Allah might know who fears Him without seeing Him (in the Unseen). But whoever exceeds the limit after this, then for him there is a painful torment. (5/95) O you who believe! Do not kill wild game while you are in Ihrâm. And whoever among you shall kill it intentionally; the compensation is the like of what he killed, from the cattle, as two just persons among you shall judge. An offering to be brought to the Ka’ba or the expiation is the feeding of the poor or the equivalent of it in fasting, that he may taste the heavy price of his deed. Allah has pardoned what is gone by (these kinds of committed offences). And whoever returns (to it), Allah will inflict retribution on him. And Allah is All-Mighty, Owner of Retribution. (5/96) Lawful for you and for the travelers is the game of the sea and its food as a provision. And the game of the land is forbidden to you so long as you are in Ihrâm. And have piety towards Allah, to whom you shall be gathered. (5/97) Allah has made (caused) the Ka’ba which is the Sacred House, and the sacred month and the offerings and the sacrificial animals with garlands, maintenance for the people. This is that you may know that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and that Allah is the All-Knowing of all things. (5/98) Know that Allah is Severe in punishment and that Allah is Oft-Forgiving (the One who converts evil deeds into merits), Most Merciful (the One who sends the light of mercy and has mercy on the believers). (5/99) Not upon the Messenger is any other responsibility except for notification. And Allah knows what you proclaim and what you hide. (5/100) Say: “The malignant (bad and unlawful) and the clean (lawful) are not equal, though the abundance of the malignant (unlawful, mischievous) may please you. O, Ulûl Elbâb! Have piety towards Allah. That you may have Salvation”. (5/101) O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah and to submit to Him while they are alive)! Do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. And if you question about them while the Qur'ân is being sent down, they shall be explained to you. Allah has forgiven that (because of the things you ask about without knowing this rule). And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Gentle. (5/102) A people before you indeed have asked that question. And then became disbelievers with it. (5/103) Allah has not make (legal) anything like “Bahîrah, or Sâ’ibah, or Wasîlah or Hâm”. But those who disbelieve (deny) fabricate (invent) a slander against Allah. And most of them do not exercise their minds. (5/104) And when it is said to them: “Come to what Allah has sent down (the Qur'ân) and to the Messenger (to obey him)”, they say: “That (religion) on which we found our fathers is sufficient (enough) for us”. What! Even though their fathers knew nothing (concerning these truths) and did not attain to Guidance? (5/105) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Your souls are upon you (the responsibility of your souls are upon you). He who is in Misguidance cannot harm you if you are on the Guidance. To Allah is your return all together. And then He will inform you of what you used to do. (5/106) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! When (the state of) death draws nigh to one of you, at the time of bequest, let two just men from among you bear witness between you. Or if death befalls you while you are travelling in the land, call to witness the two men who are not of you. You should detain them after the prayer; if you doubt. They shall both swear by Allah saying: We will not take for it a price, even though it was a near kinsman, and we will not hide the testimony of Allah. Otherwise certainly we should be of the sinful. (5/107) Then if it becomes known that they both have been guilty of sin, let two others stand in their place who are foremost in claim from those who have a lawful right, and they swear by Allah saying: “Certainly our testimony is truer than the testimony of those two, and We have not exceeded the limit”. Otherwise most surely we should be of the wrongdoers. (5/108) This (kind of oath) is more proper than the fact that they come face to face with the testimony (that the inheritors do not trust in the witnesses) or fear that the oaths will be refused after their oaths. And have piety (takwâ) towards Allah and listen. And Allah does not guide the Al-Fasiqûn. (5/109) On the Day when Allah will gather the Messengers together and say to them: “What answer were you given”? They shall say: “We have no knowledge, surely, only You are the All-Knowing of all that is unseen”. (5/110) When Allah have said: “O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My Blessing on you and on your mother. I have supported you with the Holy Spirit that you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity. I have taught you the Book and the Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel. And you have shaped out of the clay a figure like that of a bird by My Permission, then you have breathed into it and it has become a bird by My Permission. And you were healing the blind and the leprous by My Permission. You were bringing forth the death by My Permission. And when you came to the Children of Israel with clear arguments I withheld their attacks from you (saved you)”. But those who disbelieved (who were in disbelief) among them said: “This is nothing but clear magic”. (5/111) And when I revealed to the disciples: “Believe in Me and My Messenger”, they said: “We believe and bear witness that we have surrendered (to Hakk)”. (5/112) The disciples said: “O Jesus, son of Mary! Can your Lord send down to us a table of food from the heavens”? (Jesus) said: “Have piety towards Allah, if you are indeed believers”. (5/113) (They) said, “We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be witnesses upon it”. (5/114) Jesus, son of Mary, said: “O Allah! Our Lord! Send down for us a table spread with food from the heaven, that it may be a feast for us, and a miracle from You for the ones before us and for the ones after us. And provide us with sustenance, for You are the Best of sustainers”. (5/115) Allah said: “Surely I will send it down to you, but whoever shall disbelieve afterwards from among you, surely I will torment them with a torment with which I will not torment anyone among the worlds”. (5/116) And when Allah said: “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to the people: ‘Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah’”, he said: “Glory be to You, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right. If I had said it, You would indeed have known it. You do know what is in my soul as well and I do not know what is with You; Surely, You only You, are the All-Knowing of all that is hidden (unseen, unknown)”. (5/117) I spoke to them only that which You commanded me: “Be servants to Allah, My Lord and your Lord”. I was a witness over them while I dwelt among them. And when you did cause me to die (when You took me away from them), You were the Watcher over them. And You are Witness over all things. (5/118) If you torment them, they are indeed Your servants. And if You forgive them, verily You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise (the Owner of the Judgment and Wisdom). (5/119) Allah said: “This is a Day when their loyalty profits the truthful (sâdikîn)”. For them there are Heavens under which the rivers flow, to abide in them forever. Allah is Well Pleased with them and they are well pleased with Allah. This is the greatest success. (5/120) Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever in them; and He has Power over all things.

Al-An'am
(6/1) All praise is due to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and originated the tyranny and the glory. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals (other things) with their Lord. (6/2) He it is Who has created you from clay, then has decreed a term. And there is Ecel-i Müsemma (the end which the time and the space are determined) with Him. Yet still you doubt. (6/3) And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knows what you conceal and what you reveal, and He knows what you earn. (6/4) And never a Verse comes to them from the Verses of their Lord, but they turn aside from it. (6/5) So they have indeed denied the truth when it came to them. But there will come to them the news of what they used to mock at. (6/6) Do they not consider how many generations We have destroyed before them, whom We had placed in the earth as We have not placed you. And We sent on them abundant rain from the sky. And We made the rivers to flow under them. But We destroyed them on account of their sins, raised up after them other generations. (6/7) And even if We had sent down to you a writing on a paper, and they even had touched it with their hands, certainly those who disbelieve would have said: “This is nothing but clear magic”. (6/8) And they said: “Why has an angel not been sent down to him”? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been finished. Then they shall not have been given time. (6/9) And if We had made him an angel, We would certainly have made him (in the from of) a man. And We would certainly have made them doubtful (again) on what they already doubt. (6/10) And certainly Messengers before you were also mocked at. But that at which they scoffed encompassed the scoffers among them. (6/11) Say: “Travel in the land. Then see what the end of the rejecters was”. (6/12) Say: “To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth”? Say: “To Allah everything belongs. He has prescribed Mercy on Himself. Most certainly He will gather you together on the Doomsday in which there is no doubt”. Those who have failed their souls, they do not believe. (6/13) To Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (6/14) Say: “Shall I take as a Walî (friend) any other than Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He who feeds and is not fed”. Say: “Verily, I am commanded to be the first who is submitted, and not be of the associators”. (6/15) Say: “Surely, if I rebel against my Lord, I fear the torment of a Mighty Day”. (6/16) On that Day (day of Permission) whoever is averted from that (torment), indeed (Allah) has been Merciful to him. And this is a Manifest Salvation. (6/17) If Allah allows a calamity touch you, there is none to take it off but He. If He allows a goodness touch you, then He has Power over all things. (6/18) He is the Conqueror (only champion) over His servants, and He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. (6/19) Say: “What thing is greater in testimony”? Say: “Allah is Witness between me and you. This Qur'ân has been revealed to me that with it I may warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Do you really bear witness that there are other gods along with Allah”? Say: “I do not bear witness”. Say: “He is only One God. Surely I am clear of that which you associate with”. (6/20) Those whom We have given the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons. Those who do not believe have failed their souls. (6/21) Who is more tyrant than he who forges a lie against Allah or belies His Verses? Verily, He does not have the wrongdoers attain Salvation. (6/22) And on that Day We shall gather them together, then say to those who associated others: “Where are your associates whom you used to assume”? (6/23) There will then be no Fitnah (mischief, excuse) for them but to say: “By Allah, our Lord, we never were associators”. (6/24) See! How they lied against themselves. What they forged has passed away from them. (6/25) And amongst them whoever listens to you; We have put veils over their hearts lest they understand it (for them not to understand) and there is heaviness in their ears. And even if they see every verse they do not believe in it. Even when they come to you they argue (struggle) with you. Those who disbelieve say: “This is nothing else than the tales of the ancients. (6/26) And they prohibit from it (from reaching Allah and Hidayet) and they (themselves) stay away (turn away) from it (Hidayet). They do not bring destruction upon anyone but themselves, yet they do not perceive (aware of it). (6/27) If you could see when they are made to stop over the Fire! Then they said: “Oh we wish we could be sent back, then we would not deny the Verses of our Lord, and we would be of the believers! (6/28) No, but what they concealed before has been explained to them. And if they were sent back, they would certainly go back to that which they were forbidden. And most surely they are truly liars. (6/29) And they said: “Our life is nothing but this world, and we shall not be raised (again)”. (6/30) And if could you see when they are made to stand before their Lord. (Allah) said: “Is not this the truth”? They said: “Yes, verily, by our Lord”! Allah said: “Taste then the torment because of what you denied”. (6/31) Those who denied their Meeting with Allah (those who denied having their spirits reach Allah before death, while they are living) have fallen into loss. When the Hour comes on them suddenly, bearing upon their backs their burdens (sins), they say: “Alas for us that we exceeded the limit there (in the world)”. Surely evil is that which they bear, is it not? (6/32) The life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. Certainly the abode of the Hereafter is better for those who have piety. Do you still not use your minds? (6/33) We know indeed that what they say certainly grieves you. But surely they do not belie you. Nevertheless the wrongdoers are fighting against the Verses of Allah. (6/34) And certainly; Messengers before you were also denied. But they were patient on being denied and persecuted until Our Help came to them. And there is none to alter the Words of Allah. And verily already there has come to you (some) of the news of the Messengers that were sent. (6/35) If their turning away is hard on you, then, if you can, ask an opening to go down into the depth of the earth or a ladder to the sky. So that brings them a verse (miracle)! If Allah had willed, He could have gathered them all together on Guidance. Therefore be not of the ignorant. (6/36) Only those who hear respond (to the invitation). And Allah raises the dead (the hearing named Sem’i that is dead, the understanding named Fu’âd that is dead, the sight named Basar that is dead). Then to Him they are returned (the spirit is made to return to Allah by the help of the religious guide). (6/37) And they said: “Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord”? Say: “Surely Allah is Omnipotent to send down a miracle (verse)”. And yet most of them do not know. (6/38) There is not a moving creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book. Then to their Lord they will be gathered. (6/39) Those who deny Our Verses are deaf and dumb in the darkness. Whom Allah wills He leaves in Misguidance. And whom He wills He puts them on the Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path that delivers to Allah). (6/40) (O Muhammad!) Say (to the associators): “Did you see yourselves (your state, your powerlessness as deaf and dumb denying the verses of Allah in darkness)? If the torment of Allah should overtake you or the Hour (Doomsday) should come upon you, will you call on others besides Allah, if you are truthful”? (6/41) Nay! Him you call upon (and beg). So He clears away that for which you pray if He wills and you forget what you associate. (6/42) And certainly We sent (Messengers) to nations (communities) before you. Then We seized them with distress and affliction in order that they might implore. (6/43) Yet would it not be better if they implored with humility when Our affliction came to them? But their hearts hardened. Satan embellished to them that which they used to do. (6/44) Then, when they forgot that with which they had been reminded (admonished), We opened for them the gates of all things, until, when they rejoiced in what they were given. When We seized them suddenly, then lo! They were in utter despair. (6/45) So the people that committed wrong (tyranny) were eliminated. All praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. (6/46) (O Muhammad) say (to the associators): “Have you seen (have you understood your helplessness)? If Allah takes away your sense of hearing and sight and sets a seal on your hearts, who is god besides Allah that can bring it (back) to you”? See how We explain Our Verses. Yet still they turn away. (6/47) (O Muhammad) say (to the associators): “Have you seen yourselves (Have you understood your state, your powerlessness)? If the torment of Allah comes to you suddenly or openly, will any be destroyed except the unjust people”? (6/48) We send the Messengers (for nothing) but as givers of glad tidings and Warners. Then whoever believes (wishes to reach Allah before death) and does improving deeds (that cleanse and purify the souls’ hearts), there is no fear upon them nor do they grieve. (6/49) And those who belie Our Verses the torment will touch them because they are Fâsiqûn (transgressors, those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it). (6/50) Say: “I do not tell you that with me are the treasures of Allah nor I know the Unseen (Gayb), nor I tell you that I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me”. Say: “Are the blind and the seeing (with the inner eye) equal”? Do you not then reflect? (6/51) And warn with it those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord. There is no protecting friend for them, nor any intercessor besides Him. Thus they be the owners of piety (takwâ). (6/52) And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking Him only. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. If you drive them away, you will be then of the wrong-doers. (6/53) And thus We tried some of them by others in case they say: “Are these they upon whom Allah has conferred His Blessing from among us”? Allah best knows the grateful, does not He? (6/54) When those who believe in Our Verses come to you, say: “Peace be on you”. Your Lord has written Mercy on Himself. So that if any one of you does evil in ignorance, then repents (before his religious guide-Murshid) and improves (does the soul’s cleansing), then He (Allah) is Oft-Forgiving, (the One who converts evil deeds into merits), Most Merciful (the One who sends down the light of mercy). (6/55) And thus do We expound the Verses that the way of Al-Mujrimûn (sinners, guilty) may become manifest. (6/56) Say: “I have been forbidden to be a servant to those whom you call upon besides Allah”. Say: “I do not follow your vain desires (the desires of the vices of your souls), if I follow them indeed I should have been in Misguidance and I should not be of those who have attained Guidance”. (6/57) Say: “I am on a clear proof from my Lord and you call it a lie. I have not with me what you are asking for impatiently. The judgment is only Allah’s. He relates the truth. And He is the Best of Dividers (the right from the wrong) in groups”. (6/58) Say: “If that which you desire to hasten was with me, the matter would have certainly been decided between you and me”. And Allah best knows the tyrants. (6/59) And with Him are the keys of the Unseen (Gayb). None knows them but He. And He knows what is in the land and the sea. Not even a leaf falls but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything wet or dry in it but in the Kitab-ı Mübîn (Clear Book). (6/60) And He it is who makes you die at night (who puts you into sleep), knows what you acquire in the day, then raises you up therein that Ecel-i Müsemma (an appointed term) to be fulfilled. To Him is your return. Then He will inform you of what you have done. (6/61) And He is the Owner of Strength and Power above His servants. And He sends a guardian (protector) over you. When death comes to one of you, Our Messengers (angel of death and his assistants) cause him to die. And they never err (while they are doing this). (6/62) Then they are returned to Allah. Their Lord is the True One. His is the Judgment, is it not? And He is the swiftest in taking account. (6/63) Say: “Who rescues you from the darkness of the land and the sea”? You call upon Him in humility and in secret saying: “If He only saves us from this, we shall truly be of the grateful ones”. (6/64) Say: “Allah rescues you from this and from all distresses”. Then again you associate partners (with Him). (6/65) Say: “He is able to send on you a torment from above you and from beneath your feet, or adding you to each other (making you enemies) in different parties and make you taste the violence of one to another”. See how We explain Our Verses, so that they may understand. (6/66) And your people have denied it though it is the truth. Say: “I am not a Surrogate over you”. (6/67) For every news there is a determined term. And soon you will know. (6/68) When you see those who engage in a conversation about our Verses (by mocking at them) withdraw from them until they enter into some other discourse. And if Satan causes you to forget, then do not sit after recollection with the unjust people. (6/69) There is nothing (responsibility) for those who have piety from their account. Yet they should remind them (that they need to repeat the Name of Allah). So they may be the owners of piety (takwâ). (6/70) Leave alone those who take their religion as play and amusement. And the life of this world has deceived them. And remind with it lest a soul should be given up to destruction for that which they have earned (the negative degrees they have earned). There is for him besides Allah any protecting friend nor an intercessor. Even if he offers to give every ransom, it shall not be accepted from him. These are they who shall be given up to destruction for what they earned. They shall have a drink of boiling water and a painful torment because of what they denied. (6/71) Say: “Shall we call on others besides Allah, that do not benefit nor harm us, and shall we be returned back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like him whom the devils (Satans) have made his companions to fall down perplexed in the earth saying ‘Come to us, to guidance’”. Say: “Surely, reaching Allah, it is the Guidance (Hidayet) and we are commanded that we should submit to the Lord of the worlds”. (6/72) And (we are also commanded) to keep up prayers. And have piety towards Him. And He it is to whom you shall be gathered. (6/73) And He it is who has created the heavens and the earth with the truth. And on the Day He says: “Be, it is”. His Word is the truth and His is the Sovereignty. That Day the Trumpet shall be blown (when the trumpet is blown, the Sovereignty is His). It is He who knows the Known (Seen) and the Unknown. And He is the All-Wise (the Owner of the Judgment and Wisdom), the All-Aware. (6/74) And Abraham had said to his father Âzar: “Do you take idols for gods? Surely I see you and your people in manifest Misguidance”. (6/75) And thus (did) We show Abraham the secrets of the heavens and the earth and that he might be Mûqinîn (those who have Faith with certainty). (6/76) So when the night covered him over with darkness, he saw a star. He said: “This is my Lord”. But when it set, he said: “I do not love the setting ones”. (6/77) Then when he saw the moon rising up, he said: “This is my Lord”. But when it set, he said: “If my Lord does not guide me, I should certainly have been of the people who are in Misguidance”. (6/78) Then when he saw the sun rising up, he said: “This is my Lord, this is greater”. But when it set, he said: “O my people! Surely I am clear of what you associate”. (6/79) Surely I have turned my face towards Him who created the heavens and the earth as being Hanîfâ. And I am not of the associators. (6/80) And his people argued with him. He said: “Do you argue with me concerning Allah while (My Lord) delivered me to Guidance (Hidayet)? I do not fear in any way those that you set up with Him, unless my Lord wills something. My Lord surrounds in His Knowledge all things. Will you not then be mindful”? (6/81) And how should I fear what you associate (idols) while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any proof (Sultan)? Which then of the two parties is surer of security if you know? (6/82) Those who believe (who are âmenû) and do not mix up their faith with wrong, those are they who shall have the security. And they are those who have attained Hidayet. (6/83) And these are Our proofs which We Gave to Abraham against his people. We raise whom We will in degrees. Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing. (6/84) And We bestowed upon him Isaac (Ishâq) and Jacob (Ya’qûb). We delivered all of them to Guidance. And Noah did We guide aforetime; and of his descendants David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. And thus do We reward Al-Muhsinîn (those who have submitted their physical bodies to Allah). (6/85) And Zachariah (Zakariyâ) and John (Yahyâ) and Jesus and Elias (Iliyâs), each one of them was of the Salihin (improved ones). (6/86) And Ishmael and Elisha (Ilyesea) and Jonah (Yûnus) and Lot (Lût), We made each one of them above the worlds. (6/87) And We chose from among their fathers and their descendants and their brethren. And We guided them to Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed to Allah). (6/88) This is the Guidance of Allah. With which He guides whomsoever He wills of His servants. And if they had associated others, certainly what they did would have become vain. (6/89) These are they to whom We gave the Book and the Wisdom and the Prophet-hood. Therefore, if the disbelievers deny it, then We would have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers. (6/90) These are they whom Allah guided. Therefore follow their guidance (Hidayet)! Say: “I do not ask you for any wage for it”; it is nothing but a reminder (Dhikr) for the worlds. (6/91) They could not estimate Allah with estimation due to Him when they said: “Allah has sent down nothing to any human being”. Say: “Who then sent down the Book which is a Light and Guidance to mankind that Moses brought”. You have made (written) into paper sheets, disclosing and concealing much. You were taught what you did not nor your fathers know. Say: “Allah, then leave them to play with what they are busy in”. (6/92) And this (Qur'ân) is a Book We have sent down as Blessed, confirming that which is before it, so that you may warn the Mother of towns (Makkah) and those around it. They are constant in guarding their prayers (continue praying). (6/93) And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah, or says: “It has been revealed to me while nothing has been revealed to him” and he who says: “I will send down the like of that which Allah has sent down”? And if you had seen when the wrong-doers shall be in the agonies of death and the angels shall spread forth their hands: ‘Give up your souls’; today shall you be recompensed with a torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against Allah other than the truth, and because you showed pride against His Verses. (6/94) And certainly you have come to Us alone as We created you at first, and you have left behind your backs all that We gave you. We do not see with you your intercessors about whom you asserted that they were associates in respect to you. Certainly the ties between you are cut off, and what you asserted is gone from you. (6/95) Surely, It is Allah Who causes the seed-grain and the fruit-stone to split and sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living. That is Allah! How are you then turned away? (6/96) (He is the) Cleaver of the daybreak. And He has made the night for resting (peace), and the sun and the moon for calculating time. This is the discretion of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (6/97) And He it is Who has made the stars (the Prophets, the Messengers and the religious guide) for you, so that you may guide your course with them (you may have Guidance) in the layers of darkness of the land and the sea (in the layers of darkness and the calamities of the souls). Truly We have explained in detail the Verses for a people who know. (6/98) And He it is Who has brought you into being from a single soul (Adam), then there is (for you) a resting-place (the earth, the world for our physical bodies) and a depository (the place where our souls wait temporarily before going into Paradise or Hell, the Berzah World). We have explained in detail Our Verses for a people who understand well. (6/99) And He it is Who sends down water from the sky. With it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds. Then We bring forth out of it green stalks, from which We bring forth thick clustered grain. And out of the date-palm and its sprout come forth clusters of dates hanging low and near and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when they begin to bear (fruit) and at its ripening. Most surely there are Signs in this for a people who believe. (6/100) And they associated the jinn with Allah, while He created them. They falsely attributed to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Be He Glorified and Exalted above all that they attribute to Him. (6/101) Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth without a match! How could He have a son when there is for Him no consort? And He created all things and He is the All-Knowing of all things. (6/102) That is Allah, your Lord. There is no god but He. The Creator of all things. Therefore be servants to Him. And He is the Wakîl (Surrogate) over all things. (6/103) Sense of seeing can not comprehend Him. And He comprehends the sense of seeing. And He is Al-Latîf (the Most Subtle and Courteous), Well-Acquainted with all things. (6/104) Surely, faculties of intuition (seeing through the eye of the heart) have come to you from your Lord. Whoever will therefore see (with the heart’s eye), it is for his own benefit (soul). And whoever will be blind (the eye of the heart), it shall be against himself. And I am not a guardian over you. (6/105) And thus We explain individually the Verses so that they may say: “You have studied (this knowledge) and that We may make the matter clear for a people who know”. (6/106) Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; there is no god but He; and withdraw from the associators. (6/107) And if Allah had willed, they would not have set up partners and We have not made you a watcher over them nor are you a Wakîl (Surrogate) over them. (6/108) And do not revile those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should revile Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair-seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return. So He will inform them of what they used to do. (6/109) And they swore by Allah with the strongest of their oaths, that if a Sign (a miracle) came to them, they would most certainly believe in it. Say: “Signs (miracles) are only with Allah (in His Divine Presence) and you do not perceive that even if it (sign, miracle) came, they will not believe”. (6/110) And We turn their hearts (the comprehension faculties of the souls’ hearts) and their sights (the faculties of seeing of the souls’ eyes) as they did not believe in it previously and We leave them in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
