(23/1) The believers have indeed reached Salvation. (23/2) The believers have indeed reached Salvation. (23/3) And who stay away from what is vain. (23/4) And who are givers of alms (Az-Zakat). (23/5) And who guard their chastity. (23/6) Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess (their concubines), for that they surely are not blamed. (23/7) But who ever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits. (23/8) And those who are the keepers (loyal ones) of their trusts and their covenants. (23/9) And those who guard (continue) their prayers. (23/10) These are they who are the heirs (inheritors). (23/11) They shall inherit the heavens of Firdaus, where they shall abide forever. (23/12) And certainly We created human out of an extract of clay (organic and inorganic damp earth). (23/13) Then We made him a Nutfah (small seed), in a firm resting place. (23/14) Then We made from a Nutfah (small seed) an “Alaqah” (what is hung on to the wall of the womb from one point), then We made the “Alaqah” into a little lump of a chewy flesh, then We made bones out of that chewy flesh, then We clothed the bones with flesh and then We built (shaped) it with another creation. This is how Blessed is Allah, the Best of the creators! (23/15) Then after that you will most surely die. (23/16) Then surely on the Doomsday you shall be resurrected. (23/17) And certainly We have created above you seven paths and never are We heedless of Creating. (23/18) And We send down water from the sky with a predestined amount, then We caused with it (lakes, rivers, seas) in the earth, and most surely We are Able to take it away (with condensation). (23/19) Then We caused to grow for you thereby gardens of date-palms and grapes. For you there are many fruits in them and from them do you eat. (23/20) And there is a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and it is a condiment for the eaters. (23/21) And most surely there is a lesson for you in the animals. We make you drink of what is in their bellies, and there are in them numerous benefits for you and of them you eat. (23/22) And on them and on the ships you are carried. (23/23) And certainly We sent Noah to his people. Then he said (to them): “O my people! Become servants to Allah. You have no god other than Him”. Will you not then be the owners of piety (will you not then wish to reach Allah before death)? (23/24) And the elites of those who disbelieved from among his people said: “He is nothing but a human being like yourselves. He desires that he may have superiority over you, and if Allah had willed, He would certainly have sent down angels. We have not heard of this from our forefathers”. (23/25) He is not but a man possessed with madness, so watch him (keep him under supervision) for a while. (23/26) (Noah) said: “My Lord! Help me because they have belied me”. (23/27) So We revealed to him to make the Ark before Our Eyes (under Our Control) and with Our Revelation. Then when Our Command came and the Tennur boiled, take into it of every kind a pair (male and female) and your followers, except those among them against whom the Word has gone forth. And do not address Me in favor of those who have done wrong (do not ask forgiveness for them). Surely they are to be drowned (they are already decided to be drowned). (23/28) Then when you are embarked in the Ark, you and those with you should say: “All praise is due to Allah who delivered us from the people who are wrong-doers (oppressors)”. (23/29) And say: “My Lord, cause me disembark in such a blessed disembarking, and You are the Best to disembark”. (23/30) Most surely there are Signs in this, and most surely We are ever testing. (23/31) Then We created after them another generation. (23/32) So We sent among them a Messenger that is from them, to become servants to Allah. You have no deity other than Him. Will you not then have piety (will you not then wish to reach Allah before death)? (23/33) And the leaders of his people who disbelieved and belied meeting Allah before death, whom We had given plenty to enjoy in this world’s life, said: “This is but a human being like yourselves, eating of what you eat from and drinking of what you drink”. (23/34) And if you obey a human like yourselves, then most surely you will be one of those who have fallen into Loss (Husran). (23/35) Does he promise you that when you are dead and become dust and bones, you shall then be brought forth (from dust)? (23/36) Pity, very pity is that which you are promised. (23/37) It (that life) is not but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we shall not be raised again. (23/38) He (Messenger) is only a man who has forged a lie against Allah, and we are not to believe in him. (23/39) (The Messenger) said: “My Lord! Help me because they belie me”. (23/40) (Allah said): “In a little (while) they will most certainly be regretful”. (23/41) Then the Saihah (a terrible sound wave, shriek) overtook them rightfully (as they deserved), and We made them particles. Then away with the people (from the Mercy of Allah) who are wrong-doers! (23/42) Then, after them, We created other generations. (23/43) No nation can advance their term, nor can they delay it. (23/44) Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Whenever its Messenger came to a nation, they belied him; then We (destroyed them) one after another and We made them stories. So away (from the Mercy of Allah) with a people who do not believe. (23/45) Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our Verses, and a clear Sultan (the Torah). (23/46) (We sent Moses and Aaron) to Pharaoh and his notables, but they behaved arrogantly and they became insolent people. (23/47) Then they said: “Shall we believe in two human beings (Moses and Aaron) like ourselves, whereas their people are servants (slaves) to us”? (23/48) So they belied them both and became of those who were destroyed. (23/49) And certainly We gave Moses the Book that they may have Hidayet. (23/50) And We made the son of Mary (Jesus) and his mother a Sign (miracle) and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. (23/51) O Messengers! Eat of the good (clean and lawful blessings) and do improving deeds (that purify the soul). Surely I know the best what you do. (23/52) And surely this nation of yours is a single nation, and I am your Lord. So have piety towards Me (wish to reach Me before death). (23/53) But they cut off the affairs (of the Religion) among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which they accepted. (23/54) Therefore leave them in their Misguidance till a time. (23/55) Do they think that We support them with wealth and children? (23/56) (Do they think that) We hasten to them the good things? Nay, they are not aware. (23/57) Surely those are they who feel the fear of their Lord. (23/58) And those are they who believe in the Verses of their Lord. (23/59) And those are they who do not associate (anything) with their Lord. (23/60) And they give what they have to give and their hearts tremble because they are the returned (reached) ones to their Lord. (23/61) Those race in good things and they are foremost in them (in goodness). (23/62) And We do not lay on any soul a burden except according to its capacity (to the extent of its ability). With Us is a Book (life film) which speaks the truth and they shall not be wronged. (23/63) Nay, their hearts are in heedlessness (misguidance) and they have besides this other deeds which they do. (23/64) When We seize those who lead a luxury life with the torment, they beg for help with a loud voice. (23/65) Do not cry for help on that day. Surely you shall not be helped by Us. (23/66) Our Verses were recited (read and explained) to you, but on your heels you had turned around and run. (23/67) You were arrogant against it (My Verses), talking non-sense by night (about My Verses). (23/68) Have they not pondered over the Word (Have they not grasped its meaning) or has there come to them what had not come to their forefathers? (23/69) Or is it that they did not recognize (accept) their Messenger. Then they are the ones who deny him (the Messenger)? (23/70) Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay! (He) came to them with the truth and most of them are averse from the truth. (23/71) And if the Truth had followed their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those that are therein would have been in mischief. Nay! We have brought them their Remembrance (Dhikr) but from their Remembrance (Dhikr) they turn aside. (23/72) Or do you ask of them a wage (payment)? Surely your Lord’s Wage (Reward) is better. And He is the Best of those who give sustenance. (23/73) And most surely you are calling them to Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed to Allah). (23/74) And most surely those who do not believe in the Hereafter (in reaching Allah while they are living) indeed are the ones who are deviated from the Way (from Sıratı Mustakîm/the Path directed at Allah) (they are those who are in Misguidance). (23/75) And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. (23/76) And verily We seized them with the torment, but they were not submissive to their Lord and they did not pray earnestly. (23/77) As We open upon them a gate of severe torment (punishment), then they get in to despair. (23/78) It is He Who has designed (created) for you (the senses of) hearing, seeing and comprehending. Little thanks you give! (23/79) And it is He Who spread you through the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. (23/80) And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and His (decision) is the alternation of the night and the day. Do you still not comprehend? (23/81) And He it is Who gives life and causes death, and His (decision) is the alternation of the night and the day. Do you still not comprehend? (23/82) They said: “When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised again”? (23/83) Certainly we are promised this, and (so were) our fathers aforetime. This is merely the tales of the ancients. (23/84) Say: “(Tell) whose is the earth, and whoever is therein, if you know”? (23/85) They will say: “Allah’s”. Say: “Will you then still not deliberate”? (23/86) Say: “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of beyond existence”? (23/87) They will say: “Allah’s”. Say: “Will you still not then be the owners of piety (Takwa)”? (23/88) Say: “Who is it in Whose Hand is the Sovereignty of all things and Who protects, but Who is not in need of being protected, if you do but know”? (23/89) They will say: “Allah’s”. Say: “How then are you deceived”? (23/90) Nay! We have brought them the truth, and most surely they are liars. (23/91) Never did Allah take a son and never is there with Him any (other) god. Otherwise would each god have certainly taken away what he created and some of them would raise themselves above others. Glory be to Allah above what they describe (of Him). (23/92) (He is the) Knower of the Unseen and the seen. And He is Exalted above what they associate (with Him). (23/93) Say: “My Lord! If you should make me see what they are promised”. (23/94) My Lord! Then do not leave me amongst the people who are wrongdoers. (23/95) And most surely We are Well Able to make you see what We have promised them. (23/96) Repel evil with what is best. We know best what they describe. (23/97) And say: “My Lord! I seek refuge in you from the whispers of the satans”. (23/98) And I seek refuge in you, my Lord, for them to be present with me. (23/99) When death came unto one of them, he said: “My Lord, send me back”. (23/100) That (if you send me back) I may do improving deeds (that purify the soul) in that, which I have left. It is a (vain) word that he speaks, and behind them there is a barrier until the Day they will be raised. (23/101) So when the Trumpet is blown on the Day of Permission, there shall be no ties of relationship (lineage), nor shall they greet each other. (23/102) Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, they are in. (23/103) And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who fail their souls into loss, in Hell will they abide forever. (23/104) The Fire shall scorch their faces that are sullen therein. (23/105) Were not you who used to deny (belie) My Verses when they were recited to you? (23/106) They said: “Our Lord! Our adversity overcame us and we were a people who were in Misguidance”. (23/107) Our Lord! Take us out of it (Hell); then if we turn away, surely we shall be “zalimûn” (wrongdoers, unjust). (23/108) He said: “Stay in there and do not say (anything) to Me”! (23/109) Surely a party of my servants say: “Our Lord! We believed (We wished to reach You before death) so forgive us and have mercy on us (Manifest upon us with Your Most Merciful attribute) and you are the Best of the Merciful. (23/110) But you took them for a mockery that this made you forget My remembrance (Dhikr) and you used to laugh at them. (23/111) Surely I have rewarded them this Day, because they were patient that they have attained Salvation. (23/112) He said: “How many years did you stay on earth”? (23/113) They said: “We stayed a day or a part of a day. Ask of those who kept account”. (23/114) He said: “You stayed but a little, if you had only known”! (23/115) Did you then think that We had created you in vain (without any purpose) and that you shall not be returned to Us? (23/116) So Exalted be Allah, the True King. There is no god but He. The Lord of the Noble (Honorable) non-existence. (23/117) And whoever worships Allah with another god, even though he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely the disbelievers shall not have Salvation. (23/118) And say: “My Lord! Forgive (change our evil deeds into merits) and have mercy (Manifest upon us with Your Most Merciful attribute) and You are the Best of the Merciful”.

An-Nur
(24/1) (This is) a chapter (Sûrah) which We have sent down and made obligatory (some verses of it). And We sent down explained Verses in it with Clear proofs, that perhaps you may deliberate. (24/2) The adulteress and the adulterer, flog each of them a hundred stripes (that affects the skin only) and let not pity for them detain you concerning (the application of) Allah’s Religion, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, and let a party of the believers witness their torment. (24/3) The adulterer cannot marry other than an adulteress or an idolatress and as for the adulteress; none can marry her except an adulterer or an idolater. All that is forbidden to the believers. (24/4) And for those who accuse chaste women, then cannot bring four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes (that affects the skin only) and never accept their witnessing, and these it is that are the transgressors (who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it). (24/5) Except those who repent after this and improve. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One who manifests with His Mercy attribute). (24/6) And those who accuse their wives of adultery, if they have no witnesses but themselves, then the testimony of each of them shall be a testimony sworn by Allah four times repeated, that he is indeed of the truthful ones (of those who speak the truth). (24/7) And the fifth (testimony) is that Allah’s Curse be upon him if he is one of the liars. (24/8) And it shall avert the torment (punishment) from her if she bears witness four times by Allah, that he (her husband) is most surely one of the liars. (24/9) And the fifth (testimony) that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if he is one of the truthful (if he has spoken the truth). (24/10) And if it had not been for the Virtue of Allah upon you and His Mercy (you would have under-gone a punishment)! And that Allah is Oft- Forgiving (the One Who accepts repentance), the All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment). (24/11) Surely those who brought forth the slander (against Âishah) are a party from among you. Do not regard it an evil for you; nay, it is good for you. For each of them there is what he has earned of the sin (punishment); and as for him among them who had managed (concocted and spread) to the greater part of it, for him there is a great torment. (24/12) If only the believing men and the believing women, when they heard of it (of the slander), had thought good in their own minds, and said: “This is a manifest slander”. (24/13) If only they had brought four witnesses of it. Since they failed to bring the witnesses, they verily are the liars within the Sight of Allah. (24/14) And had it not been for the Virtue of Allah unto you and His Mercy in this world and in the Hereafter, a great torment would have touched you because of that which you entered into (the slander, backbiting). (24/15) You were telling (asking) it (slander) with your tongues (and passed it around) and uttered with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge, and you deemed it an unimportant matter, while with Allah it was very great (crime). (24/16) Should you not have said, when you heard of it, “it does not beseem us that we should talk of it; glory be to You! This is a great calumny”? (24/17) Allah admonishes (commands) you that you should not return to the like of it ever again if you are believers. (24/18) And Allah makes clear to you His Verses; and Allah is All-Knowing, All- Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment). (24/19) As for those who love that indecency (adultery, shameful events, slander, evil) should spread among those who believe, for them there is a painful torment in this world and the Hereafter; and Allah knows, while you do not know. (24/20) And if it had not been for the Virtue of Allah on you and His Mercy (He would have tormented you) and surely Allah is full of Kindness, Most Merciful. (24/21) O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death), do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan)! And whosoever follows the footsteps of Satan, then surely he commands Al-Fahshâ (indecency, all kinds of evil) and Al-Munkar (the denial and all that Allah has forbidden). And if it had not been for the Virtue and Mercy of Allah unto you (if these had not be placed into the hearts of your souls), none of you could have ever cleansed his soul, but Allah cleanses the souls of whom He wills and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (24/22) And let not those of you (amongst you) who possess Virtue and Wealth swear against giving to the near of kin and to the needy and to the emigrants in the Way of Allah; let them pardon and be indulgent. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (24/23) Those who slander chaste and believing women (without their knowledge), are cursed in the world and the Hereafter. And for them there is a great torment. (24/24) On that Day their tongues, their hands and their feet (their life films) will bear witness against them as to what they used to do. (24/25) On the Day of Permission Allah will pay for their religion in full their just reward (the equivalent of the negative and positive degrees that they have earned) and they shall know that Allah is the Manifest Truth (who expounds the truth, fulfils it). (24/26) Vile women are for the vile men, and the vile men are for the vile women. The good and clean women are for the good and clean men. The good and clean men are for the good and clean women. These are the ones who are free from what they say (against them). For them is Forgiveness (the changing of the evil deeds into merits) and a generous sustenance (offered by Allah). (24/27) O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death)! Do not enter houses other than your own houses, until you ask for permission, and salute those in them. This is better for you, that you may deliberate (remember). (24/28) And if you do not find any one therein, then do not enter them until permission is given to you. And if you are asked to go back, then go back; this is purer (appropriate) for you; and Allah is All-Knowing of what you do. (24/29) There is no sin on you that you enter uninhabited houses wherein is a benefit with your presence. And Allah knows what you do openly and what you hide. (24/30) Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks (they keep away from prohibited), guard their chastity; that is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do. (24/31) And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks (they keep away from prohibited) and guard their chastity. They should not display their ornaments except what is visible (hands, face and feet), and let them wear (cover) their head-coverings over their collar. And they should not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or women, or those whom their right hands possess (concubines), or the male servants not having need of women, or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women. And let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known. O believers repent to Allah altogether! So that you may have Salvation. (24/32) And marry the women and men and the improved ones of your male slaves and your female slaves among you who are single. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His Virtue. And Allah is All-Embracing (His Bestowals, His Blessings are abundant), All-Knowing. (24/33) And let those who do not find the means to marry keep themselves chaste, until Allah enriches them of His Virtue. And those who ask for a writing (of emancipation) from among those whom your right hands possess (your male and female slaves) give them the writing (of emancipation) if you know any good in them, and give them of the wealth which Allah has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, when they desire to protect their chastity, in order to seek the frail good of this world’s life. Whoever compels them, then surely after their compulsion, Allah is Oft-Forgiving (the One converts the sins into merits), Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His mercy attribute). (24/34) And certainly We have sent down to you clear Verses and an example of those who have passed away before you, and an admonition to those who have piety. (24/35) Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. A likeness of His Light is as a niche (a source that gives off light) in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from an oil of a blessed tree that is neither in the east nor in the west. The oil whereof gives light on its own, even if no fire touches it. (It is) a light upon light. Allah delivers to His Light whom He wills and Allah sets forth parables for mankind. And Allah is All-Knowing of everything. (24/36) (Allah’s Light is) in houses which Allah has permitted His Name to be exalted and remembered (repeated) in them. There they glorify Him in the mornings and the evenings. (24/37) Men whom neither merchandise nor selling diverts from the Remembrance (Dhikr) of Allah, and the keeping up of the Prayer and the giving of the alms (that) they fear a Day when the hearts and eyes will be overturned (of terror). (24/38) Allah increases for them from His Virtue to recompense them in a best way for what they did; and Allah gives sustenance to whom He wills without measure. (24/39) And those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one deemed it to be water; when he came up to it, he found it to be nothing; and there he found Allah (against him). So (Allah) paid him his reckoning in full. And Allah is Swift at reckoning. (24/40) Or like utter darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, which is topped by dark clouds. Darkness upon darkness, when he stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light. (24/41) Did you not see that the heavens and the earth and the birds in lines glorify Allah? They all know the prayer and their glorification. And Allah is All-Knowing of what they do. (24/42) And Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and to Allah is the return. (24/43) Do you not see that Allah drives clouds gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap of layers? Then you see He brings forth the rain from their midst. And He sends down from the sky hail mountains. So strikes therewith whom He wills, and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its lightning almost takes away (blinds) the sight. (24/44) Allah alternates the night and the day. Most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have insight. (24/45) And Allah has created every animal from water. Some of them walk upon their belly, some walk upon their two feet and some walk upon four feet. Allah creates what He wills. Surely Allah is omnipotent. (24/46) Certainly We have sent down Verses that explain. Allah delivers whom He wills to Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed to Allah). (24/47) And they say: “We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and We obeyed”. Then a party of them turn back after this; and these are not believers. (24/48) And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, a party of them turn their faces away. (24/49) And if the truth is on their side (if they are the owners of the truth), they come to him quickly (obedient). (24/50) Is there in their hearts a disease, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger should take sides against them (deal with them unfairly)? Nay! They themselves are the unjust. (24/51) The word of the believers, when they are invited to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, is only to say: “We have heard and we obeyed”. And these it is who have Salvation. (24/52) And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, and feels reverence towards Allah and has piety towards Him, these it is that are the achievers of Salvation. (24/53) And they (the disbelievers) swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if you commanded them they would certainly go forth (to fight). Say: “Do not swear! (This is) a known (evident) obedience”. Surely Allah is Well-Aware of what you do. (24/54) Say: “Obey Allah and the Messenger. But if you turn away (do not obey) after that, then only the burden of his duty is on him (to convey)”. And the burden of your duty is on you. If you obey him, you reach Hidayet. No responsibility rests on the Messenger but clear conveying. (24/55) Allah has promised to those of you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (that cleanses the soul) that He will most certainly make them successors (Caliphs) in the earth as He made successors those before them, and that He will most certainly strengthen for them their Religion with which He has been pleased, and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange. They become servants to Me, they do not associate anything with Me. Whoever denies after this, these it is who are the Fâsiqûn (those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it). (24/56) And keep up the Prayer and pay alms (Az-Zâkât) and obey the Messenger, that perhaps you may receive mercy. (24/57) Do not think that the disbelievers can make (Allah) incapable in the earth. And their abode is the Fire; and certainly evil is their destination. (24/58) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Let those whom your right hands possess (your male and female slaves) and those of you who have not attained to puberty ask permission of you during three occasions. Before the prayer of dawn, when you put off your clothes at midday, and after the prayer of the nightfall. These are three occasions of privacy for you (that they need to stay away from you). Neither is it a sin for you nor for them besides these, to move about, attending to each other. Thus does Allah make clear to you the Verses. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (24/59) And when the (your) children among you have attained to puberty, let them ask permission as those before them asked permission. Thus does Allah make clear to you His Verses, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (24/60) And old women who have no hope of marriage, it is no blame (sin) for them if they put off their outer clothes without displaying their ornaments. To wish to remain chaste is better for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (24/61) There is no difficulty on the blind, or on the handicapped, or on the sick. Nor there is a difficulty on yourselves that you eat in your houses, or your fathers’ houses or your mothers’ houses, or your brothers’ houses, or your sisters’ houses, or your paternal uncles’ houses, or your paternal aunts’ houses, or your maternal uncles’ houses, or your maternal aunts’ houses, or what you possess the keys of, or at your friends. It is no sin for you that you eat together or separately. When you enter houses, salute one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and goodly! Thus does Allah make clear to you His Verses that you may use your intellect. (24/62) Only the believers who believe in Allah and His Messenger do not go away until they have asked his permission when they are with him on a certain affair. Surely those who ask your permission are those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission for some affair of theirs, give permission to whom you will of them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (24/63) Do not hold the Messenger’s calling among you to be like your calling one to the other! Allah indeed knew those who left secretly concealing themselves behind others. Therefore let those who go against his order beware lest a trial (Fitnah) should befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them. (24/64) Now surely Allah’s is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, are they not? He knew indeed that on which you were (what was in your hearts). And on the Day on which they are returned to Him, He will inform them of what they did; and Allah is All-Knowing of everything.

Al-Furqan
(25/1) Blessed is (Allah) Who sent down the Discernment upon His servant that he may be a Warner for the Worlds. (25/2) He (Allah), Whose is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and Who has not taken a son, and Who has no partner in the Sovereignty. And He created everything, then ordained their destiny. (25/3) And they have taken besides Him gods, who cannot create anything while they are themselves created, and they possess themselves neither harm nor benefit, nor do they possess power of death nor of life nor of bringing back to life. (25/4) And those who disbelieve said: “This (Quran) is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other tribes have helped him at it too”. So indeed they have come in with falsehood and tyranny. (25/5) And they said: “This (Quran) is the legends of the ancients, he has got them written (before) which were read out to him morning and evening”. (25/6) Say: “It (Qur’ân) has been sent down by Him Who knows the Secret of the heavens and the earth; surely He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute)”. (25/7) And they said: “What sort of messenger is this that he eats food and goes about in the markets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a Warner with him”? (25/8) Or a treasure should have been thrown (sent) down to him (from the sky), or he is made to have a garden from which he should eat. And the wrong-doers said: “You only follow (depend on) none but a man bewitched”. (25/9) See what likenesses do they apply to you, so they have remained in misguidance, therefore they have no power to (reach) the Way (of Allah). (25/10) Blessed is He Who, if He wills, will give you what is better than this, Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, and build palaces for you. (25/11) Nay, they denied the Hour (Doomsday), and We have prepared a flaming (Hell) Fire for those who deny the Hour. (25/12) When (Hell) saw them from a distance, they heard its vehement raging and roaring. (25/13) And when they were cast into a narrow place thereof, tied together, they asked for destruction (to disappear). (25/14) Do not ask this Day for destruction once, but ask many times. (25/15) Say: “Is this better or Eternal Heaven which those who have piety are promised which is a reward and a final destination for them”? (25/16) For them is in it what they desire permanently. This is a promise binding upon your Lord that He took upon Him. (25/17) And on that Day He shall gather them together, and whatever they served besides Allah, then He will say: “Was it you who made these My servants fall into misguidance, or did they themselves remain on the Way of misguidance? (25/18) (The idols) said: “Glory be to You; it is not beseeming for us that we should take any friends besides You. But You did give them and their fathers goods that they forgot Dhikr and became a people deserving of perdition. (25/19) Therefore (what you worshipped aside from Allah) belied you in what you have said. So you cannot avert (the torment) nor obtain help. And whoever among you becomes unjust, We will make him taste a great torment. (25/20) And We have not sent before you any Messengers but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets. And We have made some of you a mischief (trial) for others to see ‘if you bear patiently’! And your Lord is All-Seeing.
