(25/21) And We have not sent before you any Messengers but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets. And We have made some of you a mischief (trial) for others to see ‘if you bear patiently’! And your Lord is All-Seeing. (25/22) On that Day they shall see the angels, no glad tidings shall there be for the culprits on the Day of Permission. And (the angels) shall say (to them): “(glad tidings) is a forbidden thing totally prohibited (to you)”. (25/23) And We have cut off what they have done of deeds (We nullified their deeds), so We rendered them (their deeds) as scattered floating dust. (25/24) The dwellers of Heaven shall on the Day of Permission be in a better abiding place and a fairest resting-place. (25/25) And on the Day when the sky was split with clouds, the angels were sent down in lines. (25/26) The Sovereignty on the Day of Permission is true for the Most-Beneficent, and it is a hard Day for the disbelievers. (25/27) And on that Day the wrong-doer bites his hands and says: “O! I wish I had taken a Way (that goes to Allah) with the Messenger”. (25/28) O woe to me! I wish I had not taken such an such for a friend! (25/29) He indeed led me astray from the Remembrance (Dhikr) after it (the Knowledge in the Qur’ân) had come to me; and Satan is the one who prevents human from help. (25/30) And the Messenger said: “My Lord! Surely my people deserted this Qur’ân (My people have departed from the Qur’ân). (25/31) And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from the culprits and Sufficient is your Lord as the One Who delivers to Hidayet and as a Helper. (25/32) And those who disbelieve said: “Should not the Qur’ân have been sent down upon him all at once”? This is that We may fix it (the Qur’ân) to your comprehension. And We have explained (read) it arranging in parts. (25/33) And they have not brought to you an affair but what We delivered to you with the truth and the best commentary. (25/34) Those who shall be gathered on their faces to Hell, they are in a worse plight and straying farther away from the Way (who have remained in misguidance). (25/35) And certainly We gave Moses the Book (the Torah) and We appointed with him his brother Aaron as a helper (supporter). (25/36) Then We said: “Go to the people who belied Our Verses!” After that We destroyed them with utter destruction. (25/37) And the people of Noah (Nûh), when they belied the Messengers, We drowned them, and made them a Sign (example) for the mankind. And We have prepared a painful torment for the wrongdoers. (25/38) And Âd and Thamûd and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and many generations (who had lived) between them (We destroyed). (25/39) To each of them We gave similitudes, and each of them We caused to perish utterly. (25/40) And certainly they came to the town on which was rained an evil rain. Did they not then see it? Nay! They did not hope to be resurrected. (25/41) And when they see you, they do not take you for anything but a mockery, saying: “Is this he whom Allah has sent forth to be a Messenger”? (25/42) “He would have nearly misled us from our gods, if we had not adhered to him patiently”! And they will know, when they see the torment, who is strayed farther off from the Way. (25/43) Have you seen him who took his low desires for his god? Will you then be a surrogate to him? (25/44) Or do you think that most of them do hear and (therefore) comprehend? They are only like animals. Nay, they are even straying farther off from the Way (of Allah). (25/45) Have you not seen how your Lord extended the shade? And if He had willed, He would certainly have made it stationary. Then We have made the sun an indication (a guide) to it (shade). (25/46) Then We took it to ourselves, shrinking little by little. (25/47) And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a time to rest. And He (also) made the day a time to work. (25/48) And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings before His Mercy. And We have sent down pure water from the sky. (25/49) (That) We may give life thereby to a dead land and give it for drink, out of what We have created, to many animals and people. (25/50) And indeed We have distributed (explained in detail) it (rain, mercy, virtue and benediction) amongst them in order that they may deliberate. But most of mankind only resisted denying. (25/51) And if We had willed, We would certainly have sent a Warner to every town. (25/52) So do not obey the disbelievers, and fight with a mighty fight against them with it (the Qur’ân). (25/53) And it is He Who has let free the two seas; one delicious and sweet, and the other salty and bitter. Between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction (for them not to mix). (25/54) And He it is Who has created mankind from the water, then He has made for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage. And your Lord is Omnipotent. (25/55) And they worship besides Allah that which neither profits them nor causes them harm. And the disbeliever backed Satan up against his Lord. (25/56) And We have sent you only as a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner. (25/57) Say: “I do not ask of you any wage for it (conveyance) except that whosoever wills may take a Way to his Lord. (25/58) And put your trust in the Ever-Living One Who does not die, and glorify with His Praise and Sufficient for Him Being All-Aware of the sins of His servants. (25/59) It is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in Six Days. Then the Most Beneficent rose beyond existence. So ask the informed one (Gabriel) of this. (25/60) And when it was said to them: “Prostrate yourselves to the Most Beneficent”, they said: “What is the Most Beneficent? Shall we prostrate ourselves to what you command us”? And it (this command) increased them in aversion. (25/61) Blessed be He Who has made in the sky constellations and has set there the moon as an illuminating lamp. (25/62) And He it is Who has made the night and the day a succession for those who yearn to remember or be thankful. (25/63) And the servants of the Most Beneficent walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant address them, they say: “Peace”! (25/64) And they who pass the night prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord. (25/65) And they say: “Our Lord! Keep the torment of Hell away from us, surely the torment of it is permanently destructive. (25/66) Surely it is an evil abode as and a residence. (25/67) And when they spend, they are neither extravagant nor parsimonious. And they keep between these two on a middle path. (25/68) And they do not worship another god with Allah; nor kill someone, which Allah has forbidden except for just cause and do not commit adultery. And he who does these meets a punishment of sin. (25/69) The torment shall be multiplied to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide therein forever in abasement. (25/70) Except him who repents (before the saint guide, the Murshid) and becomes a believer (whose Faith has increased as ‘Faith’ has been written into his soul’s heart) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing); so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds into merits. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful (the One who sends His glorious lights of mercy). (25/71) And whoever repents (before his Murshid) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing), he surely reaches Allah as the one whose repentance has been accepted (his spirit reaches Allah while he is alive). (25/72) And they who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle chatter, they pass by nobly (with dignity). (25/73) And when they are reminded of the Verses of their Lord, they do not fall down at them deaf and blind. (25/74) And they say: “Our Lord! Bestow upon us spouses and our offspring the delight of our eyes, and make us Imams (religious leaders) to the owners of piety”. (25/75) These get rewarded with high stations (in heaven) due to their patience, and get met therein with greetings and salutations. (25/76) There they abide forever. How excellent of an abode and a residing place. (25/77) These get rewarded with high stations (in heaven) due to their patience, and get met therein with greetings and salutations.

Ash-Shu'ara
(26/1) Tâ-Sîn-Mîm. (26/2) These are the Verses of Kitab-ı Mübin (the manifest Book). (26/3) You will almost consume yourself with grief because they do not become believers. (26/4) If We willed, We would send down upon them a Verse from the heaven so that it would overshadow their necks (get them under its control) that they would obey it. (26/5) And there does not come to them a new Reminder (Order) from the Most-Beneficent but they turn aside from it. (26/6) So they have belied, but the news of what they had mocked at will come to them. (26/7) Do they not see the earth that how many (plants) of every pair We have caused to grow in it? (26/8) Most surely there is a Sign in that, and (but) most of them did not become believers. (26/9) And most surely your Lord is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/10) And your Lord had called out to Moses to go to the wrongdoing nation. (26/11) Will the nation of Pharaoh (still) not be the owners of piety? (26/12) (Moses) said: “My Lord! Surely I fear that they will belie me (treat me as a liar)”. (26/13) And my chest straitens and my tongue does not speak plainly. Therefore send Aaron. (26/14) And for them I am a sinner, therefore I fear that they may kill me. (26/15) (Allah) said: “Nay, so go (you both) with our Verses! Surely We are the hearing Ones with you. (26/16) Go ahead to Pharaoh (together) and tell him: “Surely we are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds”. (26/17) Send with us the Children of Israel! (26/18) (Pharaoh) said: “Did we not bring you up as a child among us? And did you not dwell many years of your life among us”? (26/19) And you did the deed of yours which you did (you committed a murder), and you are of the disbelievers. (26/20) Moses said: “I did it then, when I was of those who were in misguidance. (26/21) Then I fled from you as I feared you, but my Lord has granted me wisdom and has made me of the Messengers. (26/22) And the favor with which you reproach me is that you have enslaved the Children of Israel. (26/23) (Pharaoh) said: “What is the Lord of the Worlds”? (26/24) (Moses) said: “The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you believe by obtaining certainty”. (26/25) (Pharaoh) said to those around him: “Do you not hear”? (26/26) (Moses) said: “Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old”. (26/27) (Pharaoh) said: “Most surely your Messenger who has been sent to you is truly mad (insane)”. (26/28) (Moses) said: “The Lord of the east and the west and all that is between them, if you use your mind”. (26/29) (Pharaoh) said: “If you take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned”. (26/30) (Moses) said: “Even if I bring to you something manifest”? (26/31) (Pharaoh) said: “Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones”. (26/32) So Moses flung down his staff and behold! It became an obvious serpent. (26/33) And he drew forth his hand, and behold! It was white (radiant) to the onlookers. (26/34) (Pharaoh) said to the elites around him: “Most surely this is indeed a well-versed sorcerer”. (26/35) He wants to drive you out of your land with his magic. What is it then that you command? (26/36) They said: “Put him off and his brother, and send into the cities gatherers”. (26/37) They should bring to you every skillful magician. (26/38) So the magicians were gathered together at the appointed time on a fixed day. (26/39) And it was said to the people: “Did you gather together”? (26/40) We follow the magicians if they are victorious. (26/41) When the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh: “Shall we get a reward if we are the winners”? (26/42) (Pharaoh) said: “Yes, you will then surely be of those brought near (to myself)”. (26/43) (Moses) said to them: “Cast what you are going to cast”. (26/44) So they cast down their cords and their rods and said: “By Pharaoh’s might, we shall most surely be victorious”. (26/45) Then Moses cast down his staff and behold! It (his staff) was swallowing up what they fabricated. (26/46) The magicians were thrown down prostrating. (26/47) They said: “We believe in the Lord of the Worlds”. (26/48) (We believe in) the Lord of Moses and Aaron. (26/49) (Pharaoh) said: “You believe in him before I give you permission. Most surely he is the chief (master) of you who taught you the magic, so you shall know soon. Certainly I will have your hands and your feet cut off on opposite sides, and certainly I will have you all hung”. (26/50) They said: “It does not matter. Surely we are the ones to return to our Lord”. (26/51) Surely we hope (ask) that our Lord will forgive us our faults because we are the first of the believers. (26/52) And We revealed to Moses (saying): “Take off with My servants by night, surely you will be pursued”. (26/53) Upon that Pharaoh sent into the cities gatherers. (26/54) Most surely these are but a small group (in number). (26/55) And most surely they have indeed enraged us (most surely, they have rage towards us). (26/56) And most surely we are a feared group. (26/57) So, We took them (Pharaoh and his people) away from gardens and water-springs. (26/58) And from treasures and every kind of honorable stations. (26/59) Thus did We cause the Children of Israel to inherit them (their land). (26/60) Then they started pursuing them towards the east (towards the Red sea). (26/61) When the two groups saw each other, the Companions of Moses said: “Verily they are about to reach us”. (26/62) (Moses) said: “By no means; surely my Lord is with me. He will guide me (to Salvation)”. (26/63) Then We revealed to Moses: “Strike the sea with your staff”. Immediately the sea exploded (split and parted) and each piece became like a huge mound. (26/64) Then We brought the others near there (as well). (26/65) And We saved Moses and those with him all. (26/66) Then We drowned the others (in the sea). (26/67) Most surely there is a Sign in this, (but) most of them did not become believers. (26/68) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (The One Who manifests Himself with the Name of Most Merciful). (26/69) And recite (read and explain) to them the news of Abraham. (26/70) As he had said to his father and his people: “What is it that you worship”? (26/71) They said: “We worship idols, and to them we always keep worshipping”. (26/72) (Abraham) said: “Do they hear you when you call on them”? (26/73) Or do they benefit you or cause you harm? (26/74) They said: “Nay, We found our fathers doing (worshipping) so”. (26/75) (Abraham) said: “Have you then seen what you have been worshipping”? (26/76) That what you and your ancient fathers (have been worshipping)”? (26/77) Surely they are enemies to me, but not the Lord of the Worlds. (26/78) It is He Who has created me, who delivers me to Hidayet. (26/79) And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. (26/80) And when I become sick, He is the One who gives me the cure. (26/81) And He Who will cause me to die, then will bring me to life (too). (26/82) And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the Day of Religion. (26/83) My Lord! Bestow Wisdom on me and join me with the Sâlihîn (Improved ones)! (26/84) And make me a devoted one in the tongues of the succeeding ones (make the upcoming generations to remember me). (26/85) And make me of the inheritors of the Paradise full of blessings. (26/86) And forgive my father; surely he is of those who have remained in misguidance. (26/87) And do not make me of the miserable ones on the Day of resurrection. (26/88) The Day on which neither property nor sons will mean anything (do not make me an ashamed one). (26/89) Except those who come to Allah with a peaceful heart (that reached salvation). (26/90) And heaven brought near for those who have piety. (26/91) And hell was shown manifest to the ones who went off boundaries. (26/92) And it was said to them: “Where are those that you used to worship”? (26/93) Can they (your deities) help you or yet help themselves, besides Allah? (26/94) They (idol worshippers) and the ones who went off boundaries are thrown on their faces (as their noses rubbed against the ground) therein (in hell). (26/95) And all of the army of Lucifer (Iblîs). (26/96) They (the things that they used to worship and those who worshipped them) said while they contend therein. (26/97) By Allah! We were certainly in manifest misguidance. (26/98) We were holding you (idols) equal with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/99) And none but the guilty ones (those who prevented from Hidayet) have left us in misguidance. (26/100) So for us there is not an intercessor. (26/101) Nor a true friend. (26/102) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we would be of the believers. (26/103) Most surely there is a Sign in this, but (in spite of this) most of them did not become a believer. (26/104) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty (Exalted), the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/105) The people of Noah rejected (belied) the Messengers. (26/106) Their brother Noah had said to them: “Do you not become the owner of piety”? (26/107) Surely I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (26/108) Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah) and obey me. (26/109) And I do not ask you any wage for it (for my conveying the Message). My wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/110) So be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah) and obey me. (26/111) They said: “Shall we believe in you (too) while the simplest of the people follow (depend on) you”? (26/112) He said: “I have no knowledge of what they used to do”. (26/113) Their reckoning is only with my Lord, if you could perceive. (26/114) And I am not the one to drive away the believers. (26/115) I am only a plain Warner. (26/116) They said: “O Noah! If you do not desist (warning us), you shall most certainly be of those stoned”. (26/117) Noah said: “My Lord! Surely my people belied me”! (26/118) For that reason widen between me and them with a widening (and hence) deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. (26/119) So We delivered him and those with him in a laden Ark. (26/120) Then We drowned the ones (who did not embark) remained behind (them). (26/121) Most surely there is a Sign in this, yet most of them did not become believers (did not wish to reach Allah). (26/122) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/123) The tribe of Âd belied the sent Messengers. (26/124) Their brother Hûd had said to them: “Will you not become the owners of piety (will you not wish to reach Allah while you are alive)”? (26/125) Surely I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (26/126) Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah before death) and obey me (depend on me) (26/127) And I do not ask you any wage for it (for the conveyance), surely my reward wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/128) Do you build on every height a monument, by exerting yourselves in vain? (26/129) And you get for yourselves fine buildings as if you will live (in this world) forever. (26/130) And when you seized, you seized as tyrants (by force)? (26/131) So be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah while you are living) and obey me (depend on me). (26/132) Be the owners of piety towards Him (wish to reach Allah) who helps you with the things that you know (with what He has taught you). (26/133) He has aided you with animals and sons. (26/134) And with gardens and water springs. (26/135) Surely I fear the Torment of a Great Day (the Doomsday) to be upon you. (26/136) They said: “It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers”. (26/137) This is no other than the fabrications of the ancients. (26/138) And we are not going to be tormented. (26/139) So they belied him. Therefore We ruined them. Most surely there is indeed a Sign in this, yet most of them did not become believers (did not wish to reach Allah). (26/140) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/141) (The tribe of) Thamûd also belied the Messengers. (26/142) Their brother Sâlih had also said to them: “Will you not become the owners of piety (will you not wish to reach Allah while you are living)”? (26/143) Surely I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (26/144) Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah before death) and obey me (depend on me). (26/145) And I ask of you no wage for that (conveyance). My wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/146) Will you be left secure in where you are? (26/147) In gardens and water-springs. (26/148) And tilled fields and bloomed palm-trees? (26/149) And you hew out in the mountains, houses with great skill. (26/150) So be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah while you are living) and obey me (depend on me). (26/151) And do not obey the command of the extravagant (who exceed the limits). (26/152) They (extravagant) make mischief in the earth, and do not improve (others). (26/153) They said: “You are only of the bewitched”. (26/154) You are nothing but a human being like us. So bring a Sign (a Verse) if you are of the truthful. (26/155) (Sâlih) said: “This is a she-camel. It has the right to drink water, and you have a right to drink water on appointed days”. (26/156) And do not touch her with evil. (If you do) then the torment of a Great Day should seize you. (26/157) Nevertheless they slaughtered her, then they became regretful. (26/158) So the torment overtook them. Most surely there is a Sign (a lesson) in this, and most of them did not become believers. (26/159) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests with the Name of the Most Merciful). (26/160) The people of Lot (Lût) belied the Messengers (too). (26/161) Their brother Lot had also said to them: “Will you not be the owners of piety (Will you not wish to reach Allah while you are living)”? (26/162) Surely I am a truthful Messenger to you. (26/163) Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah (wish to reach Allah before death) and obey me (depend on me). (26/164) And I ask of you no wage for that (conveying the Message). My wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/165) Are you going (approaching) to the males of the worlds (mankind)? (26/166) And leaving what Allah has created for you of the wives? Nay, you are a transgressing people (exceeding the limits). (26/167) They said: “O Lot! If you do not desist (warning us), you shall surely be of those who are expelled”. (26/168) He said: “Surely I am of those who utterly detest (dislike) your doing”. (26/169) My Lord! Deliver me and my family (my followers) from what they do. (26/170) Upon that We delivered him and his followers (his family, his followers) all. (26/171) Except an old woman (Lot’s wife), among those who remained behind. (26/172) Then we utterly destroyed the others (We made them history). (26/173) And We sent upon them a rain. How evil was the rain of those who had been warned! (26/174) Most surely there is a Sign in this, and most of them did not become believers. (26/175) And most surely your Lord, He is surely the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/176) The dwellers of Midian (also) belied the Messengers. (26/177) Shu’aib had said to them: “Will you not be the owners of piety (Will you not wish to reach Allah while you are living)”? (26/178) Surely I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. (26/179) Therefore be the owners of piety towards Allah and obey me (depend on me). (26/180) And I ask of you no wage for it (for conveying to you the Message). My wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. (26/181) Give full measure (do not have your scales on the negative end) and be not of those who fail (their souls, those whose sins are more than their merits). (26/182) Weigh with the measure of those who are upon a direction (those who wish to reach Allah and have more merits than the sins). (26/183) And do not defraud people by reducing their things (do not cause their positive degrees to be less than their negative degrees by hindering them from making the wish to reach Allah) and (based on this) do not cause disorder in the earth, making mischief. (26/184) And be the owner of piety towards Whom created you and the former nations (wish to reach Allah). (26/185) They said: “You are only of the bewitched”. (26/186) And you are but a human being like us, and we deem you of the liars. (26/187) So cause a portion of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful. (26/188) (Shu’aib) said: “My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do”. (26/189) But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow seized them. Indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. (26/190) Most surely there is a clear Sign in this, yet most of them did not become believers (they did not wish to reach Allah before death). (26/191) And most surely your Lord, He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (26/192) And most surely it (the Qur’ân) has been sent down by the Lord of the Worlds. (26/193) The Trustworthy Spirit (Gabriel) has brought it down. (26/194) Into your heart that you may be of the Warners. (26/195) In plain Arabic language. (26/196) And most surely it is in the Pages (of the Books) of the previous. (26/197) Is it not a proof to them that the learned men of the Children of Israel to know it? (26/198) And if We had sent it down to some of the foreigners (non-Arabs). (26/199) So that he had recited (read) it to them, they would not have believed in it (they would not have become believers, they would not have wished to reach Allah before death). (26/200) Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. (26/201) They do not believe in it until they see the painful torment (they would not become believers, they would not wish to reach Allah). (26/202) And it (the torment) comes to them all of a sudden, and they would not know. (26/203) Then they said: “Would we then be delayed (given time)”? (26/204) Do they hasten on Our torment? (26/205) Did you see? Even if We provide them for years. (26/206) Then there came to them (torment) which they were promised. (26/207) What they were provided with shall not avail them. (26/208) And never did We destroy a town but it had (We sent) Warners. (26/209) Remember that We have never been unjust. (26/210) And it is not satans who have brought it (the Qur’ân) down. (26/211) It is not suitable for them, nor is it in their power. (26/212) Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it (revelation). (26/213) So do not call upon another god with Allah lest you should be of those who are tormented. (26/214) And warn your tribe that is your nearest kindred. (26/215) And open your wings unto those who have depended on you of the believers. (26/216) If they rebel against you, then say: “Surely I am clear of what you do”. (26/217) And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One who manifests Himself with the Name of the Most Merciful). (26/218) He sees you when you stand up (to pray). (26/219) And (also sees) your turning over among those who prostrate themselves. (26/220) Surely He, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (26/221) Shall I inform you upon whom the Satans descend? (26/222) They descend upon every lying (slandering), sinful one. (26/223) They (listen) give ear (to the satans), and most of them are liars. (26/224) And as to the poets (who are against Allah) the deviating ones follow them. (26/225) Do you not see that they wander about bewildered (they run after fancies) in every valley? (26/226) And they surely say that which they do not do. (26/227) Except those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing) and remember (repeat the Name of) Allah much, and are helped (by Allah) after they have been wronged (oppressed); And those who do wrong (act unjustly) shall know to what final place of turning (to Hell) they shall turn back.

An-Naml
(27/1) Tâ-Sîn. These are the Verses of the Qur’ân which is a manifest Book. (27/2) A means to deliver to Hidayet and glad tidings for the believers. (27/3) Who keep up the Prayer and give alms (Az-Zakât) and they are certain to believe in the Hereafter. (27/4) As to those who do not believe in the hereafter (spirit’s reaching Allah while one is still living), We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so that they blindly wander on. (27/5) They are those for whom there will be an evil torment, and they will be those who will undergo the greatest Loss. (27/6) And most surely the Qur’ân is delivered to you from (the Secret Knowledge of) the presence of the All-Wise, All-Knowing. (27/7) Moses had said to his family: “Surely I have perceived a fire; I will bring to you from there some news, or I will bring to you a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves”. (27/8) So when he went to it, he was called: “Blessed is whoever is in (near) the fire and whoever is round about it! And Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”! (27/9) O Moses! Surely I am Allah, the All-Mighty, All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment). (27/10) “And cast down your staff”! So (upon casting down his staff) when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned retreating and did not look back. “O Moses! Fear not; surely the Messengers do not fear in My Presence”. (27/11) Except those who do wrong. But whom ever converts his evil for good (gets his sins converted into merits after repenting before a Murshid), then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (27/12) And put your hand into your bosom. Take it out immaculate white. This (miracle) is among the nine Signs to Pharaoh and his people. Surely they have become a Fâsiq (transgressing) people. (27/13) When Our Verses (Signs, miracles) became visible to them, they said: “This is a manifest magic”. (27/14) And though they believed in them with certainty, they denied them knowingly and arrogantly, tormenting their souls. Then look, how the end of the mischief-makers was. (27/15) And certainly We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and (they both) said: “All Praise be to Allah, Who has made us to excel many of His believing servants”. (27/16) And Solomon inherited David, and he said: “O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given of all things; most surely this is an evident Virtue”. (27/17) And the armies of the jinn and the men and the birds were gathered for Solomon, and they were formed into orders. (27/18) When they came to the valley of the Ants, an ant said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies may not crush you, unperceiving”. (27/19) So (Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech and said: “Make me successful in being grateful for Your Blessings which You have bestowed on me and on my parents and in doing improving deeds (in doing the soul’s cleansing) that will please You. And make me enter, by Your Mercy, amongst Your Improved servants. (27/20) And he reviewed (inspected) the birds, then said: “How is it that I do not see the hoopoe or is it that he is of the disappeared ones”? (27/21) I will most certainly torment him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a plain excuse (reason, proof). (27/22) And he (the hoopoe) did not stay (absent) too long, he (came up and) said: “I have grasped (learned) of a thing which you have not grasped and I have brought to you clear news from Sheba (Saba). (27/23) Surely I found a woman ruling over them and she has been given of all things and she has a mighty throne. (27/24) I found her and her people prostrating themselves before the sun instead of Allah and Satan has made their deeds fair-seeming to them and thus turned them away from the Way (of Allah), therefore they are not on Hidayet. (27/25) How would they not prostrate themselves before Allah, who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you make manifest. (27/26) That Allah, He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne. There is no god but He. (27/27) (Solomon) said: “We will see whether you have told the truth or whether you are of the liars”. (27/28) Take this my writing (letter) and throw it down onto them (hand it over to them), then turn away from them and see what (answer) they return. (27/29) (The Queen of Sheba): “O chieftains! Surely an honorable (valuable) letter has been thrown (delivered) to me. (27/30) Surely it is from Solomon, and surely (starts) is in the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. (27/31) Exalt not yourselves against me and come to me to be submitted. (27/32) (The Queen of Sheba) said: “O chieftains! Give me advice respecting my affair. I never decide an affair until you bear witness (you are in my presence and give me advice)”. (27/33) They said: “We are powerful and possessors of great Prowess (great ability for war) and it is for you to command, so see what you will command”. (27/34) (The Queen of Sheba) said: “Surely the kings, when they enter a country, ruin (overthrow) it, and humiliate its elites. And thus they do. (27/35) And surely I am going to send messengers with a present to them, and shall wait to see what the messengers bring back. (27/36) So when (the envoys with the present) came to Solomon, (Solomon) said: “What! Are you helping me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Nay, you are exultant (boasting) due to your present. (27/37) Go back to them, so we shall most surely come to them with armies which they shall no power to oppose, and we shall most certainly expel them there from in abasement, and they will be humiliated. (27/38) (Solomon) said: “O chieftains! Which of you will bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission? (27/39) Ifrît of the jinn said: “I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place. I am strongly certain for it (for realizing it)”. (27/40) The one who had the knowledge from the Book (Khidr) said: “I will bring it to you before you blink your eye”. Then when (Solomon) saw it set in his presence (before him), he said: “This is a Virtue (blessing) of my Lord that he may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful”. And whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-Sufficient (Rich, Free of all needs), Honored (the Most Generous). (27/41) (Solomon) said: “Alter her throne that we may see whether she will have Hidayet or whether she will not have Hidayet”. (27/42) So when she came in, it was said (to her): “Was your throne like this”? She said: “It is as though it was it”. And (Solomon said) “we were given the knowledge before it and we became Muslims (submitted to Allah)”. (27/43) And what she worshipped besides Allah prevented her; surely she was of a disbelieving people. (27/44) It was said to her: “Enter the palace.” When she saw it, she deemed it to be a deep water, and bared her legs (tucked up her skirts). (Solomon) said: “It is a palace, made smooth, brilliant cut glass”. (The Queen of Sheba) said: “My Lord! Verily I have wronged my soul and I submitted to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds along with Solomon”. (27/45) And certainly We sent to Thamud nation their brother Salih, (for them) “to become servants to Allah”. But they became two parties quarreling with each other. (27/46) (Salih) said: “O my people! Why do you seek to hasten on the evil before the good? Should you not have asked forgiveness of Allah so that you may receive mercy”? (27/47) They said: “You and those with you brought ill omen to us”. He said: “Your ill omen is in the presence of Allah. Nay, you are a people that are in mischief”. (27/48) And there were in the city a group of nine men, who made mischief in the land, and did not improve. (27/49) They said by swearing by Allah: “We should certainly make a sudden attack on him and his household by night (kill them), then say to his friends that we did not witness the destruction of his household, and we are most surely truthful (the ones who tell the truth). (27/50) So they plotted a plot. And we planned a plan while they did not perceive. (27/51) See, then, how was the end of their plot that We destroyed them and their people, all. (27/52) Here are their dwellings fallen down because of their wrong doing! Most surely there is a Sign (proof) in this for a people who know. (27/53) And We saved those who believed (who became âmenû, who wished to reach Allah before death) and (for this reason) were the owners of piety. (27/54) And Lot had said to his people: “Do you come to indecency (evil) while you see it”? (27/55) Do you indeed come to men lustfully rather than women? Nay, you are a people who are ignorant.
