وَلَكِنَّا أَنشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيًا فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ

(28/45) But We built up (created) generations. Long were their lives. (While) you were not dwelling among the people of Madian, you recite to them (your Companions) Our Verses. But it is We Who is sending (those news to you).
