حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالْدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلاَّ مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُواْ بِالأَزْلاَمِ ذَلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلاَ تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿٣﴾
سورة المائدة
(5/3) Forbidden to you (for food) is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns-and that which has been eaten by a wild animal-unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) –and that which is slaughtered for idols and that you settle matters with fortune-arrows; (all) that is a Fisk. This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion as they could not turn you back of it, so do not fear them, and fear Me. This day, I have perfected for you your religion and completed My Blessing on you. And have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is compelled (to eat) by severe hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
