أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ ﴿١٦﴾
سورة الحـديد
(57/16) Has not the time yet come for those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) that their hearts to have reverence with Dhikr (the remembrance) of Allah and what comes down from the Truth (with the glorious lights of Allah)? Let them not be like those who were given the Book before, but after a long time whose hearts became hardened (due to forgetting Dhikr-remembrance of Allah). Most of them are transgressors.
