(27/56) But the answer of his people was no other except that they said: “Expel the household of Lot from your land surely they are a people who would like to keep pure and clean”. (27/57) Then We rescued him and his family except his wife. We destined her to be of those who remained behind. (27/58) And We rained on them a rain, and evil was the rain of those who had been warned. (27/59) Say: “All Praises be to Allah and peace is upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate (with Him)”? (27/60) Or the One Who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water from the sky? So with that We caused to grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight. It is not even possible for you that you make the trees thereof to grow. Another god with Allah? Nay, but they are a people who ascribe equals (to Allah)! (27/61) Or the One Who made the earth as a fixed abode and placed rivers in its midst, and raised on it mountains, and placed between the two seas a curtain? Another god with Allah? Nay! Most of them do not know! (27/62) Or the One Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls on Him, and Who removes the evil and makes you vicegerents in the earth? Another god with Allah? Little is that you remember? (27/63) Or the One Who delivers you to Hidayet from the utter darkness of the land and the sea? The One Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings going before His Mercy? Another god with Allah? High Exalted Allah is above what they associate (with Allah)! (27/64) Or the One Who creates as a first time, then brings it back and Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Another god with Allah? Say: “Bring your evidence if you are truthful”. (27/65) Say: “No one in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (unseen) but Allah and they cannot perceive when they will be raised again. (27/66) Nay, their knowledge about the Hereafter has been completed (the knowledge has been given to them entirely). In the contrary, they are (still) in doubt about it (the Hereafter). Nay, they are blind to it (to the signs and evidences of the Hereafter). (27/67) And those who disbelieve said: “When our fathers and we have become dust? Shall we certainly be brought forth (from the earth)”? (27/68) Certainly this had been promised to us and our fathers before. Verily, these are nothing but (legends) of the men of old. (27/69) Say (to them): “Travel in the earth, and then see how was the end of the guilty”! (27/70) And do not grieve over them, nor be in distress because of what they plot. (27/71) And they say: “When is this promise, if you are truthful”? (27/72) Say: “Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, might be following you (perhaps it will reach you soon)”. (27/73) And surely your Lord is the Owner of Virtue (Grace) for mankind. And most of them are not grateful. (27/74) And most surely your Lord knows what their chests conceal and what they manifest. (27/75) And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in the Clear Book (on the Guarded Tablet). (27/76) Surely this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of (the truths) that in which they differ. (27/77) And most surely it is a Hidayet and Mercy for the believers. (27/78) Surely your Lord will decide between them by His Judgment, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (27/79) Therefore, put your trust in Allah. Surely you are on the clear truth. (27/80) Surely you can not make the dead to hear nor can you make the deaf to hear the call (of Allah) when they flee, turning their backs. (27/81) And nor can you make the blind reach Hidayet (turning them) out of their Misguidance. (27/82) And when the Word (that Allah said in the Book) falls on them, We (shall) bring forth a Dabbeh for them from the earth that will tell them that they are not familiar with the Verses (in the Book) with certainty. (27/83) And on that Day, We will gather from among those who denied (belied) Our Verses from every nation in groups, then they shall be formed (into 72 groups). (27/84) When they come, (Allah) said (to them): “Did you reject (belie) My Verses whereas you did not comprehend them in knowledge? Or what was it that you did (is there any other reason)”? (27/85) And the Word (of Allah) took place on them due to their wrongdoing. They can no longer speak. (27/86) Did they not see that We have made the night (dark) that they may rest therein, and the day (bright)? Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who believe. (27/87) And on the Day when the Trumpet is blown, all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth (shall) be terrified except those Allah wills. And all (shall) come to him, looking down. (27/88) And you see the mountain, you deem it immovable. It moves like the clouds. It is the creation of Allah Who has made everything strong. Surely He is All-Aware of what you do. (27/89) Whoever comes with good deeds (as their good deeds are more than their evil deeds), then for him there is (heaven) better than it. And they are the ones who are secure from terror on that Day of Permission (that they will not be going to hell). (27/90) Whoever comes with evil deeds (as their evil deeds are more than their good deeds), they (shall) be thrown down on their faces in the Fire. Are you being punished with anything except what you used to do? (27/91) I am only commanded “to become a servant to the Lord”. This city that He (Allah) has made it worthy of respect, and His are all things. And I am commanded that I should be of those who are submitted. (27/92) And say: “That I should recite the Qur an. Whoever reaches Hidayet, reaches Hidayet for his own soul. And whoever remains in Misguidance, then say: I am only of the Warners”. (27/93) And say: “All Praises be to Allah. He will show you His Verses so that you shall recognize them”. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do.

(28/1) Tâ, Sîn, Mîm. (28/2) These are the Verses of the Manifest Book (the Book that explains). (28/3) We will recite to you from the news of Moses and Pharaoh with truth for a people who believe. (28/4) Surely Pharaoh was in the land (a king in Egypt) and made its people into parties, weakening some among them (Jews), slaughtering their sons and letting their women live. Surely he was one of the mischief makers. (28/5) And We wish(ed) to bestow a Blessing upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and make them the Imams (religious leaders) and make them the heirs. (28/6) To establish them in the earth (land), to grant them power and to make Pharaoh and Haman and their armies see from them (the Children of Israel) what they feared. (28/7) And We revealed to Moses’ mother (saying): “Suckle him (Moses), then when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and do not fear nor grieve surely We will bring him back to you and make him one of the Messengers”. (28/8) So Pharaoh’s family took him up that he might become an enemy and trouble for them. Surely Pharaoh, Haman and their armies were the ones who would deliberately commit crime. (28/9) And Pharaoh’s wife said to him: “a joy of the eye for me and for you, do not kill him perhaps he may be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as a son”. And they were not aware (of the reality). (28/10) And the morning arrived to Moses’ mother as her heart of was empty. She would have almost disclosed it if We had not connected her heart (if We had not established a connection with her heart) so that she could be of the believers. (28/11) (Moses’ mother) said to his elder sister: “Follow him up”. So she watched him from a distance while they did not perceive. (28/12) And earlier We had already forbidden (other) foster suckling mothers to him (We made him not to suckle) so she (his elder sister) said: “Shall I direct you to a household who will undertake his care for you and they will be benevolent to him”? (28/13) So we gave him back to his mother that her eye may be comforted, and that she might not grieve, and she might know that the Promise of Allah is true, but most of them do not know. (28/14) And when he attained his maturity and became full grown, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. This is how We reward the Al-Muhsinin (good-doers). (28/15) And he (Moses, before wisdom was given to him) went into the city at a time of inattention by its people (without any one perceived him). He found therein two men fighting, one being of his party and the other of his enemies. Then he who was of his party asked him for help against him who was of his enemies. So Moses struck him with his fist (killed him). So it (death) was fulfilled. Moses said: “This is of the devil s doing. Surely he is an enemy, leaving openly in Misguidance”. (28/16) He said: “My Lord! Surely I have wronged my soul, so forgive me”. Then He forgave him. Surely He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (28/17) He said: “My Lord! Because of what You have bestowed on me as blessings, I shall never be a backer of the guilty (shall not help them)”. (28/18) So he waited for the morning in the city (fearing) watchful. But he who had appealed to him the day before cried out to him for help; Moses said to him: “Verily, you are a plain rampageous”! (28/19) So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: “O Moses! Do you intend to kill me like the person you killed yesterday? If you do (want to kill), then you will be nothing but a tyrant in the land and you do not desire to be of the reconcilers”. (28/20) And a man came running from the remotest part of the city. He said: “O Moses! Surely the elites (of the city) are consulting together to kill you; therefore escape (from the city). Surely I am of the good advisers to you”. (28/21) So he escaped from there, fearing, vigilant (of his surroundings). He said: “My Lord! Deliver me from the wrongdoing people”. (28/22) And when he turned towards (the city of) Midian (Medyen), he said: “I hope my Lord will guide (deliver) me to the designed way”. (28/23) And when he came to the water of Midian he found on it a group of people taking water, and he found besides them two women keeping (their flocks from water). He said: “What is the matter with you”? They said: “We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take away (their flocks) from the water, and our father is a very old man”. (28/24) So he watered (their flock), then went back to the shade and said: “My Lord! Surely I stand in need of whatever you may send down to me as good”. (28/25) Then one of the two women came to him bashfully. She said: “My father invites you that he may give you the reward of your having watered (our flock)”. So when (Moses) came to him, told him his story. (The old man) said: “Do not fear! You are saved from the wrong-doing people”. (28/26) One of the two women said: “O my father! Hire him. Surely he is better, stronger and more faithful from those you hired”. (28/27) (The old man) said: “I surely like to marry one of these two daughters of mine to you on condition that you should work for me for eight years with wage. But if you complete ten, it will be (a favor) from you. And I do not wish to force you. If Allah wills, you will find me one of the improved ones (Salihin)”. (28/28) (Moses) said: “This is between you and me. Whichever of the two terms I fulfill let there be no enmity to me. And Allah is Surety over what we say”. (28/29) So when Moses had fulfilled the term, he left (walking) with his family. He perceived on the side of mount Tur a fire. He said to his family: “Wait, I have surely seen a fire, maybe I will bring to you from it some news or a brand of fire, so that you may warm yourselves”. (28/30) So when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in the blessed spot of the tree: “O Moses! Surely I am Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”. (28/31) “And cast down your staff”! So (when he cast his staff) he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent. He turned in flight and did not look back. “O Moses! Turn (back)! And do not fear surely you are of those who are secure”! (28/32) Enter your hand into your bosom, bring it forth white flawless. (Be free of) fear; draw your wings (hands) to yourself. These two are two indisputable arguments (proofs) from your Lord to Pharaoh and his notables. Surely they are the people who are Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah, those who are not in the Way of Allah, or have gone out of it). (28/33) (Moses) said: “My Lord! Surely I killed one of them, so I fear lest they should kill me”. (28/34) And my brother Aaron, he is more eloquent in speech than I. And send him with me to confirm me and to be a helper to me. Surely I fear that they would deny (belie) me. (28/35) (Allah) said: “We will strengthen you with your brother, and We will make you Sultans (give you both an authority), so that they shall not reach (stand against) Our Signs (miracles). You two and those who follow (have depended on) you shall be the victors”. (28/36) So when Moses brought Our Clear Signs, they said: “This is nothing but forged enchantment, and we never heard of it from our fathers of old”. (28/37) And Moses said: “My Lord knows best who comes with Hidayet from His Presence, and whose shall be the end of the worldly home. Surely the wrong-doers do not have to Salvation”. (28/38) And Pharaoh said: “O notables! I do not know of any god for you other than me. Kindle a fire for me upon the clay (bake bricks out of clay). So set up for me a (high) tower so that I may obtain knowledge of Moses’ God, and most surely I deem him to be one of the liars”. (28/39) And he and his army were unjustly arrogant in the earth, and they deemed that they would never be brought back to Us. (28/40) Then We seized him and his army and cast them into the sea. So see how the end of the unjust was. (28/41) And We made them Imams (religious leaders) who call to Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall not be helped. (28/42) And We caused the Curse to get to them behind them in this world. And on the Day of Resurrection they shall be of those made to stay away (from Allah s Mercy). (28/43) And certainly We gave Moses the Book (Torah) after We had destroyed the former generations, being insights for men (that their hearts’ eyes to begin to sight) and a Hidayet and Mercy (that Allah should manifest Himself with His Name of Most Merciful). It is hoped that they might deliberate. (28/44) And you (O Muhammad)! You were not on the western side when we fulfilled to Moses the Commandment and you were not among the witnesses (among those who had seen the event). (28/45) But We built up (created) generations. Long were their lives. (While) you were not dwelling among the people of Madian, you recite to them (your Companions) Our Verses. But it is We Who is sending (those news to you). (28/46) And you were not on this side of the Mount Tur when We called (Moses). But as a Mercy from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no Warner (Prophet) came before you. It is hoped that they deliberate. (28/47) And were it not that a calamity should befall them for what their hands have sent before, then they should say: “Our Lord! If only you should have sent to us a Messenger so that we would have followed your Verses and been of the believers” (then We would not have sent you as a Messenger Prophet). (28/48) But when the truth has come to them from Our Presence, they said: “Why is he not given the like of what was given to Moses”? Did they not deny before what Moses was given? They said: “Two magic backed up (supported) each other and surely we are the deniers all”. (28/49) Say (to them): “Then bring a Book from the Presence of Allah that yields to Hidayet better than both of them, (that) I may depend on it, if you are truthful”. (28/50) Then if they do not answer you (if they do not comply with your call to make them reach Hidayet), know that they only follow their low desires. Who is in more Misguidance than he who follows his low desires without any person of Hidayet from Allah? Surely Allah does not deliver the unjust people to Hidayet. (28/51) And certainly We have caused the word to reach them, in order that they may deliberate. (28/52) Those whom We gave the Book before, they believe in it (in the Noble Qur an). (28/53) And when it (the Qur an) is recited to them, they said: “We believed in it surely it is the truth from our Lord. Surely we were also submitted ones (to Allah) before that”. (28/54) These are them; their reward shall be given twice over, because of their patience. And they repel the evil with the good, and spend out of what We have given them as (immaterial) sustenance. (28/55) And when they heard vain talk, they turned aside from it and said: “For us are our deeds and for you your deeds, peace be on you, we do not desire (to be with) the ignorant (We do not show interest in the ignorant)”. (28/56) Surely you cannot deliver to Hidayet whom you love (you cannot make their spirit reach Allah), but Allah delivers whom He wills to Hidayet and He knows best those who have reached Hidayet. (28/57) And they said: “If we follow the Hidayet with you, we would be exiled away from our land”. Have we not settled them in a safe, sacred (respected) territory to which crops of every kind are brought as sustenance from Our Presence? But must of them do not know (that these are from the Divine Presence). (28/58) And how many nations have We destroyed, which rampaged, was thankless for its means of life. These are their dwellings they have not been dwelt in after them except a little, and We, their inheritors is Us. (28/59) And your Lord was never a destroyer to the nations and their main city until He raised in a Messenger, reciting to them our Verses. And We were never a destroyer to the nations except when their people were unjust (tyrants). (28/60) And whatever things you have been given are only a provision (material) of the life of the world and its ornament, and whatever is in Allah’s Presence is better and more lasting. Do you not then use your mind? (28/61) Is he to whom We have promised a goodly promise which he shall meet with it be like him whom We have provided with the provisions of this world’s life, then on the Day of Resurrection he shall be of those who are made to be present (to be reckoned). (28/62) On that Day (Allah) shall call unto them and say: “Where are those whom you assumed to be my associates”? (28/63) Those about whom the Word of torment will have come true will say: “These are they whom we led rampant. We led them rampant too as we were rampant ourselves. We present to you that we are clear (free) of them. They were not worshipping us (they were following their souls-low desires)”. (28/64) And it is said to them: “Call your associates”! So they called upon them. But they did not answer them and they saw the torment. If only they had had Hidayet! (28/65) And on that Day (Allah) will call to them and say: “What was the answer you gave to the Messengers (when you were alive)”? (28/66) On the Day of Permission the news (the book of deeds, the numbered book) are closed to them. After that they shall not be questioned (they shall not be interrogated). (28/67) It is hoped that those who repent (before the Murshid-the religious guide) and believe (become Amenu for the second time) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s purification) to have reached Salvation due to that. (28/68) And your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses. The right to choose is not theirs. Glory be to Allah and exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). (28/69) And your Lord knows what their bosoms conceal and what is known (what they do not conceal). (28/70) And He is Allah that; there is no god but Him! All praise is due to Him in the former (in this world) and in the latter (in the Hereafter), and His is the Judgment, and to Him you shall be brought back. (28/71) Say: “Have you seen (thought)? If Allah were to make the night to continue incessantly on you till the Day of Resurrection, who is the deity besides Allah that could bring you light? Do you still not then hear”? (28/72) Say: “Have you seen (thought)? If Allah were to make the day to continue permanently on you till the Day of Resurrection, who is the deity besides Allah that could bring you the night in which you take rest? Do you still not then see”? (28/73) And out of His Mercy He has made for you the night and the day, that you rest therein and that you may seek of His Virtue. And it is hoped that you may be grateful. (28/74) And on that Day (Allah) shall call unto them and say: “Where are those whom you assumed to be my associates”? (28/75) And We brought forth from among every nation a witness. Then said: “Bring your indisputable arguments (proofs)”. So they knew (understood) that the truth is Allah’s, and that which they forged departed from (deserted) them. (28/76) Surely Qarun was of the people of Moses. Then he rampaged against them. We gave him treasures whose keys would burden a band of strong men. His people had said to him: “Do not exult (be arrogant) surely Allah does not love the exultant (arrogant). (28/77) And seek the Abode of the Hereafter in that which Allah has given you, and do not forget your portion of this world (too). Bestow (give without expecting anything in return) as Allah has bestowed on you and do not seek (cause) mischief in the earth. Surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers. (28/78) (Qarun) said: “This (wealth) has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess”. Does he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of the generations who were mightier in strength than he and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? And the guilty shall not be questioned of their sins. (28/79) So he went forth to his people in his finery (in his great pomp). Those who were desirous of the life of the world said: “We wish we had the like of what Qarun has been given! Verily he is the owner of a great happiness”. (28/80) And those who were given the knowledge said: “Woe to you! Allah’s reward is better for him who believes (who is Amenu, who wishes to reach Allah before death) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing). None is made to reach this (better reward) except the ones who are patient”. (28/81) Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his palace. He had no body of helpers to assist but Allah, nor was he of those who are helped. (28/82) And those who yearned for his place only the day before said: “Ah! So Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for which He wills of His servants. If Allah had not blessed us, He would have caused the earth to swallow us up as well. Assuredly the disbelievers never have Salvation. (28/83) This is the Abode of the Hereafter, We assign it to those who do not seek to exalt themselves in the earth nor to make mischief. The (good) end is for the pious (the owners of piety). (28/84) Whoever comes with good deeds (the positive degrees) so for him is the better of it. And whoever comes with evil deeds (the negative degrees), then those who do evil deeds will only be requited for what they used to do (the equal with the remaining degrees after the degrees they have earned have been subtracted from the degrees they have lost). (28/85) Most surely He who has made the Qur’an binding (obligatory) on you are the One Who will bring you back to a place of return. Say:” My Lord knows best who comes with the Hidayet and who is in manifest Misguidance”. (28/86) And you did not expect that the Book would be delivered to you, but as a Mercy from your Lord. Therefore do not help the disbelievers. (28/87) And let them not turn you away from the Verses of Allah after they have been sent down to you. And call to your Lord (to make the wish to reach Allah) and be not of the associators. (28/88) And call (worship) not with Allah any other deity. There is no deity but He. Everything will perish except Him. His is the Judgment, and to Him you shall be brought back.

Al-Ankabut
(29/1) Alif, Lam, Mim. (29/2) Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe” and not be tested? (29/3) And certainly We tested those before them too. Allah certainly knows who are truthful and who the liars are. (29/4) Or do those who do evil deeds think that they will pass our test? Evil is it that they judge! (29/5) Whoever wishes to reach Allah (while living), the term appointed by Allah will then most surely come (his spirit will most surely return to Allah while s/he is alive), and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (29/6) And whoever strives hard, he strives only for his own soul. Most surely Allah is Self Sufficient (free of need), above the Worlds. (29/7) And those who believe (who are Amenu, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing), We will most certainly remit from them their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they used to do. (29/8) And We have devised (commanded) on man to be kind and dutiful to his parents. And if they strive to make you join (associate) with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you used to do. (29/9) And those who believe (who are Amenu at Salah level) and do improving deeds (soul’s purification), We will most surely cause them to enter among the Improved Ones (Salihin). (29/10) And when amongst the people who say: “We believe in Allah” are persecuted in the Way of Allah, they started a mischief as the persecution of the people to be the torment of Allah. If assistance comes from your Lord, they certainly say: “Surely we were with you”. Is not Allah the Best Knower of what is in the bosoms of the worlds? (29/11) And most certainly Allah knows those who believe (who are Amenu), and who the hypocrites are. (29/12) And those who disbelieve said to those who believe (who are Amenu): “Follow our way and we will bear your mistakes (sins)”. Never shall they be the bearers of any of their mistakes (sins). Most surely they are liars. (29/13) And most certainly they (the liars) shall bear their own burdens (sins) along with others’ burdens (sins). Most certainly they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection as to what they forged. (29/14) And certainly We sent Noah (Nuh) to his people (as a messenger). So he remained among them a fifty years less than thousand years (950 years). Then the Deluge overtook them. And they were wrong-doers. (29/15) So We delivered him and the mates of the Ark, and made him a Sign (example) for the Worlds. (29/16) And Abraham had said to his people: “Become servants to Allah and have piety towards Him. This is better for you, if you did but know”. (29/17) But you only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie. Surely they whom you worship besides Allah have no power to give you any sustenance. Therefore seek the sustenance in the Presence of Allah and become servants to Allah and be grateful to Him. To Him you shall be brought back. (29/18) And if you deny (belie), nations before you had indeed denied (belied). Nothing (no responsibility) on the Messenger but a plain conveying (of the Message). (29/19) Do they not see how Allah first originated the Creation? Then He will redeem it. Surely that is easy for Allah. (29/20) Say: “Travel in the earth and see how the first creation was. Then Allah will build (fulfill) the Creation of the Hereafter. Surely Allah has Power over all things”. (29/21) (Allah) torments whom He wills and has Mercy on whom He wills (He manifests Himself with His Name of the Most Merciful). And to Him you shall be made to be returned (transformed from one state into others). (29/22) And you shall not make Allah helpless in the earth or in the heaven. Besides Allah you have neither any friend nor any helper. (29/23) And those who deny the Verses of Allah and reaching Him (having their spirits reach Allah while they are living), they have despaired of My Mercy. And these, it is they for whom there is a painful torment. (29/24) Yet nothing was the answer of his people except that they said (to Abraham): “Kill him or burn him”! Then Allah delivered him from the fire. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who believe. (29/25) And (Abraham) said: “You have only taken for yourselves idols that you loved besides Allah between you in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection some of you shall deny some others and some of you shall curse some others. Your place of return is the Fire, and for you there is no helper”. (29/26) After that Lot believed in him (Abraham) (he depended on him) and he said: “I am indeed the one who will migrate to my Lord (I will have my spirit reach Allah while I am living). Surely, He is the All-Mighty (the Most Exalted), the All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment)”. (29/27) And We bestowed on him Isaac (Ishaq) and Jacob (Yaqub), and gave the Prophet-hood and the Book to his offspring. We gave him his wage in this world. In the Hereafter he verily will be of the Righteous Ones (Salihin). (29/28) And Lot had said to his people: “Most surely you come to evil (obscenity) which none has preceded you in (committing) it of the worlds”. (29/29) Will you come to the males and intercept and commit shameful deeds (obscenities) in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: “Bring on us Allah’s torment if you are one of the truthful”. (29/30) (Abraham) said: “My Lord! Help me against the (Al-Mufsidun) mischievous people”! (29/31) And when Our Messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said: “Surely we are going to destroy the people of this town. Because its people have been wrong-doers. (29/32) (Abraham) said: “Surely in it is Lot. (The Messengers) said: “We know better who is in it. We shall certainly deliver him and his household (followers), except his wife. She shall be of those who remain behind”. (29/33) And when Our Messengers came to Lot, he was grieved and panicked because of them and felt straitened on their account. (The Messengers) said: “Fear not, nor grieve. Surely we will deliver you and your household, except your wife. She shall be of those who remain behind”. (29/34) Surely We are the ones to bring down upon the people of this town a filth (a terrible torment) from the heaven because their transgression (obscenity). (29/35) And certainly We have left a clear Sign of it (filth, terrible torment) for a people who will use their mind (intelligence). (29/36) And to Midian (We sent) their brother Shu’aib. Then he said to them: “O my people! Become servants to Allah and wish for the latter day (the day of reaching Allah before death) and do not cause rampage in the earth, making mischief (do not prevent from wishing to reach Allah)”. (29/37) But they belied him. So a severe quake over took them. Morning found them as knelt down in their dwelling place (they were perished). (29/38) And the tribes of Ad and Thamud were shown to you! (Mentioning) their dwellings and Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so he kept them back from the Way (of Allah), and they could sight (they denied yet seeing the truth). (29/39) And certainly Moses came to Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman with clear arguments (proofs), but they were boastful in the land and they could not outstrip (Our torment). (29/40) So We seized all with their sins. Thus We sent hurricane upon some and some were taken by As-Saihah (a terrible sound wave) and some We caused the earth to swallow up and some We drowned. Allah has never tormented them, but they tormented their own souls. (29/41) The likeness of those who take friends besides Allah is as the likeness of the spider that takes unto herself a house. And most surely the weakest of the houses is the spider’s house. If they but knew! (29/42) Surely Allah knows whatever the things they worship besides Him and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom). (29/43) And We give these examples for mankind and none understands (comprehends) them but the scholars. (29/44) Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth. Most surely there are proofs in this for the believers. (29/45) Recite (read and explain to others) that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up the Prayer. Surely the Prayer keeps away from Al-Fahsh (to do what Allah prohibits) and Al-Munkar (to deny what Allah commands). And certainly the Remembrance (the repetition of the Name) of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do.
