قَالَ هَؤُلاء بَنَاتِي إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ ﴿٧١﴾ لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ ﴿٧٣﴾ فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ﴿٧٤﴾ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَاتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ ﴿٧٥﴾ وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقيمٍ ﴿٧٦﴾ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لآيَةً لِّلْمُؤمِنِينَ ﴿٧٧﴾ وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ ﴿٧٨﴾ فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٧٩﴾ وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٨٠﴾ وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ﴿٨١﴾ وَكَانُواْ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ ﴿٨٢﴾ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ ﴿٨٣﴾ فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾ وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لآتِيَةٌ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ ﴿٨٥﴾ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْخَلاَّقُ الْعَلِيمُ ﴿٨٦﴾ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ ﴿٨٧﴾ لاَ تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلاَ تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨٨﴾ وَقُلْ إِنِّي أَنَا النَّذِيرُ الْمُبِينُ ﴿٨٩﴾ كَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى المُقْتَسِمِينَ ﴿٩٠﴾

(15/71) (Lot) said: “These are my daughters, if you will do what you are thinking.” (15/72) Assuredly, by your life! They were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. (15/73) So a Sayha (terrible sound wave) overtook them (those who were there at sunrise). (15/74) Thus did We turn it (the city) upside down, and rained down upon them (fatal) stones of baked clay. (15/75) Surely in this are Signs for those who examine to learn. (15/76) And surely it still remains on a way. (15/77) Most surely there are Signs in this for the believers (those whose souls’ hearts is written Faith in them). (15/78) And the Dwellers of the Thicket (Al-Ayka) also were most surely wrong-doers. (15/79) So, We took vengeance on them too and they are both, indeed, a clear guide (a lesson to be learnt for the following generations). (15/80) And the Dwellers of Hijr certainly belied the sent Messengers. (15/81) And We gave them Our Verses (miracles, proofs), but they turned aside from them. (15/82) And they used to carve out safe houses in the mountains. (15/83) So the Sayha (awful cry) overtook those who made to the morning. (15/84) And what they earned did not avail them. (15/85) We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except with the truth. And the Hour (Doomsday) will most surely come. So turn away from them with graciousness. (15/86) Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things and the All-Knowing. (15/87) And certainly We have given you seven from the second (sevenfold, as sevenfold) and the Grand Qur’ân. (15/88) Do not extend your eyes what We have given some of them as provision in pairs (abundantly), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for (those whose souls’ hearts is written Faith in them) the believers (guard them, be humble). (15/89) And say: “Surely I am a plain Warner (who explains)”. (15/90) Like as We have sent down on the dividers (in parts).
