(15/52) When they entered upon him, they said: “Peace (be upon you)”. (Abraham) said: “Surely We feel afraid of you.”
(15/53) (The guests) said: “(You) do not be afraid! Surely we give you the glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.”
(15/54) He said: “Do you give me good news when old age has come upon me? What then do you give me good news of?”
(15/55) They said: “We gave you glad tidings with truth. Therefore do not be of the despairing.”
(15/56) He said: “And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are in Misguidance?”
(15/57) He said: “What is the matter then of which you will speak, O Messengers?”
(15/58) They said: “Surely We have been sent to a guilty people.”
(15/59) Except the family of Lot; We will most surely deliver them all.
(15/60) Except his wife. Because We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (destroyed).
(15/61) So when the sent messengers came to the family of Lot.
(15/62) (Lot) said: “Surely you are an unknown (foreign) people.”
(15/63) They said: “Nay, we have come to you with what they have been doubtful.”
(15/64) And we have brought to you the truth, and we are most surely truthful.
(15/65) Right away go forth with your family in a part of the night! Follow their rear, and let not anyone of you turn round to look back. And go on to where you are commanded.
(15/66) And We made known this decree to him, that the root of them would be cut off in the early morning (they would be destroyed).
(15/67) And the inhabitants of the city came giving good news to each other.
(15/68) (Lot) said: “Surely these are my guests; therefore do not disgrace me.”
(15/69) Have fear and piety towards Allah and do not degrade me.
(15/70) They said: “Did we not forbid you from interfering (other) people’s business?”
