وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّى عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ

سورة يس
(36/39) And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it returns (from the form of the full moon to the crescent moon) like the old dried curved date stalk.
