فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا بَاعِدْ بَيْنَ أَسْفَارِنَا وَظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَزَّقْنَاهُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ

سورة سبإ
(34/19) But they said: “Our Lord! Make spaces to be longer between our journeys” and they wronged themselves. So We made them as tales (narrated from generation to generation) and scattered them with an utter scattering. Most surely there are Signs (lessons) in this for every very patient, grateful one.
