فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا بَأْسَنَا قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ وَكَفَرْنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهِ مُشْرِكِينَ

(40/84) When they saw Our severe punishment, they said: “We believed in Allah and His Oneness and we denied what we used to associate with Him (as His partners)”.
