وَكَذَلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ

(43/23) And just like this, We did not send before you a Warner in a country, but those who led easy (comfortable) lives in it did not say: “Surely we found our fathers on a way (religion), and surely we are followers of their footsteps”.
