وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاء الرَّحْمَنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُم مَّا لَهُم بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

(43/20) And they said: “If the Most-Beneficent had willed, we should never have worshipped them”. They have no knowledge of this. They are only lying.
