كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لاَ يَرْقُبُواْ فِيكُمْ إِلاًّ وَلاَ ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَى قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ

سورة التوبة
(9/8) How can there be (such a covenant with them)? If they gain force against you (if they back up each other), they would not respect ties of kinship or covenant with you (the rights you have on account of your covenant) they please you with their tongues while their hearts are averse to you, and most of them are Fâsiqûn (those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).
