يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انفِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ أَرَضِيتُم بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الآخِرَةِ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلٌ

سورة التوبة
(9/38) O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death)! What is the matter with you that when you are asked to go forth to struggle (struggling against your souls to render your spirit to Allah) (struggle against the disbelievers and your enemies) in the Way of Allah you cling (your spirit still did not start to its journey towards Allah) (you did not join the Islamic army to fight) heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than (rendering your spirit) the Hereafter? But little is the offering (provision, comfort) of this world as compared to (rendering the spirit back to Allah) the Hereafter.
