يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ آبَاءكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاء إَنِ اسْتَحَبُّواْ الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الإِيمَانِ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

(9/23) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Do not take your fathers and brothers for friends if they prefer disbelief to Belief. Whoever of you takes them for friends; these it is that are the wrong-doers.
