ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرٌ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا وَتَوَلَّوا وَّاسْتَغْنَى اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ

سورة الـتغابن
(64/6) This is because when their Messengers brought to them clear proofs, they said: “Shall a human being deliver us to Hidayet”? So they disbelieved and turned away. And Allah showed that He is ‘Mustagni’ (not in need of anything, even their belief). And Allah is Rich, Worthy of all praise.
