وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذ ظَّلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ جَآؤُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ اللّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُواْ اللّهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا

سورة النساء
(4/64) We sent no Messenger except that he should be obeyed by the Permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged their souls they had but come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had also asked forgiveness for them , they would have certainly found Allah (accepting both requests) Oft-Forgiving (accepting their repentance and the Messengers request for their forgiveness), the Most Merciful.
