قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ إِذْ قَالُوا لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَاء مِنكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةُ وَالْبَغْضَاء أَبَدًا حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ إِلَّا قَوْلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَا أَمْلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ ﴿٤﴾
سورة الـمـمـتـحنة
(60/4) Indeed Abraham and those with him had been an excellent example for you. They had said to their people: “We are certainly far from you and what you worship besides Allah, we deny you. And until you believe in Allah Alone, enmity and resentment have begun between us and you forever”. Except the statement of Abraham to his father: “Verily, I will ask forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to prevent anything that would come to you from Allah. Our Lord! In You we put our trust, and to You we turned. And to You is the return”.
