وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ

(23/76) And verily We seized them with the torment, but they were not submissive to their Lord and they did not pray earnestly.
