وَحَسِبُواْ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ ثُمَّ تَابَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُواْ وَصَمُّواْ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٧١﴾
سورة المائدة
(5/71) They thought that what they did would not be a Fitnah (mischief), so they became blind and deaf (they were unable to see and hear the truth). After that Allah accepted their repentance. Then many of them became blind and deaf again. And Allah sees the best of what they do.
