وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِم بِعَيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾
سورة المائدة
(5/46) And We sent after them in their footsteps Jesus, son of Mary, confirming what was before him of the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel in which is Guidance and Light, and confirming what was before it of the Torah and a guidance and an admonishment for those who have piety (takwâ).
