فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنثَى وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالأُنثَى وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وِإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

سورة آل عمران
(3/36) So when she gave birth, she said: “My Lord! I have given birth to a baby girl. And Allah knew best what she brought forth”. She said: “a boy is not like a girl, and I have named her Mary (Maryam) and I seek refuge with You for her and her offspring from the accursed Satan”.
