لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ أَذًى كَثِيرًا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الأُمُورِ

(3/186) You shall certainly be tried in your possessions and your lives, and you shall certainly hear much annoying talk from those who have been given the Book before you and from those who are associators; and if you remain patient and have piety (takwâ); then verily, this is one of the greatest affair.
