وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ

(3/143) And you had certainly wished for death (martyrdom) before you encountered it, and you have now seen it while you were looking on (death for martyrdom).
