يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَأٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ

سورة الحُـجُـرات
(49/6) O you who believe (who are âmenû)! If a Fâsiq (who is not in the Way of Allah or has gone out of it) brings you news, inquire into it carefully, lest you should harm a people in ignorance, then be regretful for what you have done.
