وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَاهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ كَذَلِكَ سَخَّرْنَاهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
سورة الحج
(22/36) And We have made the “Budn” (cow, oxen, and camel like animals) of the orders (ordinances) of Allah for you. For you therein (sacrificing them) is much good. So mention the Name of Allah (as you are slaughtering them) over them (sacrificial) (glorify Allah) as they are (still) standing. Then when they fall down on their sides (when they are slaughtered), eat of them and feed those who ask and who do not ask. Thus have We made them subservient to you, that you may be thankful.
