سَيَقُولُ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا انطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَى مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا كَلَامَ اللَّهِ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَلِكُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

سورة الفتح
(48/15) Those who lagged behind (from the battle) will say when you go forth to take the bounty: “Let (allow) us (that) we may swear allegiance to you”. (They) want to change the Word of Allah. Say (to them): “You cannot swear allegiance to us. Allah ordered so before”. Then (they) will say: “Nay! You are jealous of us”. Nay, they do not understand but a little.
