وَإِن كَانَ ذُو عُسْرَةٍ فَنَظِرَةٌ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةٍ وَأَن تَصَدَّقُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

(2/280) And if (the debtor) is in distress (if he will not be able to pay his debt), then let there be postponement until he is in ease. And for you to remit (it) as alms is better for you if you knew.
