أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحْيَاهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ

سورة البقرة
(2/243) Have you not seen those who went forth from their homes, for fear of death and they were thousands. Yet Allah said to them: “Die” (and they died); again He gave them life. Truly, Allah is full of Grace to mankind but most of them are not grateful.
