وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ

سورة البقرة
(2/170) And when it is said to them: “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they said: “Nay! We follow what (the way) we found our fathers upon”. Even if their fathers were not mindful nor did they attain Guidance (Hidayet)?
