وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ أَندَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعاً وَأَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ

سورة البقرة
(2/165) And of the men there are some who set up equals (idols, partners) with Allah. They love them (what they take for partners, associates) as they love Allah. (Yet) those who are âmenû (who believe) are stronger in love for Allah. If only those who tyrannize could have seen that during the torment, the Power is wholly Allah’s and that Allah is Severe in torment (punishment).
