وَاتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَى مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلاً جَسَدًا لَّهُ خُوَارٌ أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلاَ يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلاً اتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُواْ ظَالِمِينَ ﴿١٤٨﴾
سورة الأعراف
(7/148) And the people of Moses made, after (he had gone to the Mount) him, from their ornaments a calf - an image having a lowing sound and took it (for a god). Do they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them to a way (deliver them to Hidayet)? They took it (for a god) and they became wrong-doers.
