وَإِذْ أَنجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَونَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوَءَ الْعَذَابِ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءكُمْ وَفِي ذَلِكُم بَلاء مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ

سورة الأعراف
(7/141) And We had rescued you from Pharaoh’s family who subjected you to severe torment, killing your sons and letting your women live. And in this there was a great trial from your Lord.
