أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا آمِنًا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ أَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ يَكْفُرُونَ

سورة العنكبوت
(29/67) Did they not see that We have made it (Mecca) a sacred territory secure (from violence), when men around it and their belongings were being snatched away (by force)? Do they still believe in the falsehood and deny the Blessing of Allah?
