وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتِيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ الحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ

سورة الأنفال
(8/7) And Allah was promising you one of the two parties that it should be yours. And you ask for the one not armed to be yours. And Allah wills that the truth should be realized with His Words and that He should cut off the back (the continuation of the progeny) of the disbelievers.
