كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُواْ بآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَونَ وَكُلٌّ كَانُواْ ظَالِمِينَ ﴿٥٤﴾
سورة الأنفال
(8/54) (Their) state (the Quraish tribe that was fighting at Badr) is as the state of Pharaoh (his army) and those before them. They belied the Verses of their Lord. Therefore We destroyed them because of their sins. And We drowned the people (army) of Pharaoh. And they all became tyrants.
