قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قُل لاَّ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَاءكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ

(6/56) Say: “I have been forbidden to be a servant to those whom you call upon besides Allah”. Say: “I do not follow your vain desires (the desires of the vices of your souls), if I follow them indeed I should have been in Misguidance and I should not be of those who have attained Guidance”.
