يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاء الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

سورة الأحزاب
(33/59) O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers (believing women) that they wrap themselves up in their over garments (cover themselves). This is more proper, that they may be known (that they are not female slaves but they are free and chaste women) and thus they will not be given annoyance and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
