(36/28) And We did not send down upon his people after him an army from the heaven, nor did We ever command them to be sent. (36/29) (Their punishment) was nothing but a single Saihah (a violent sound wave). Then they became the ones that turned off. (36/30) Shame on those servants! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him (they mocked them all). (36/31) Have they not seen how many of the generations We destroyed before them that they (those who had been destroyed) did not return to them? (36/32) And when all will gather together they (too) will be made to be present in Our Presence. (36/33) And the dead earth is a Sign (miracle) for them. We revived it and We brought forth from it grains so that they eat thereof. (36/34) And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapevines and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. (36/35) That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and what their hands made it. Will they not then be still grateful? (36/36) Glory be to Him Who created all the pairs of what the earth grows, and of their souls and of what they do not know. (36/37) And the night is a Sign for them. We strip it of the day, and behold, they are in the darkness. (36/38) And the sun runs on in its orbit made steady for it. That is the Ordinance of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (36/39) And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it returns (from the form of the full moon to the crescent moon) like the old dried curved date stalk. (36/40) It is not for the sun to over-take the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day; and all float on in their orbit. (36/41) And a Sign for them is that We bear their offspring in laden ships. (36/42) And We have created for them of the similar (vessels) thereof, on which they ride. (36/43) And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved. (36/44) Except a mercy from Us, and a provision till a determined time. (36/45) And it was said to them: “Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that you may be given mercy”. (36/46) Never comes a Verse of the Verses of their Lord to them but some did not turn away from it. (36/47) And when it is said to them; “Spend of that which Allah has provided you with”, those who disbelieve say to those who believe (who are âmenû); “Shall we feed him whom, if Allah willed, He would have fed? You are only in a plain Misguidance”. (36/48) And they say, “When will this promise be if you are truthful”? (36/49) They await but one Shout (a terrible sound wave) which will seize them while they argue with one another. (36/50) So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor can they return to their families. (36/51) And the Trumpet is blown. Then from their graves they come out quickly (fly, rise up) to their Lord. (36/52) They said: “Woe to us! Who has raised us from our graves? This is what the Most-Beneficent promised and the Messengers had told the truth”. (36/53) Only one Shout (a terrible sound-wave). Then they are all to be present in Our Presence. (36/54) So this Day (no) one is wronged with (any) thing or are you punished with anything except that which you used to do. (36/55) Surely the dwellers of heaven, that Day, are in an affair quite delightful. (36/56) They and their wives are in pleasant shade, reclining on raised thrones. (36/57) They have fruits therein and (every) thing they ask for. (36/58) (There is) a Word: “Peace” from the Lord, the Most Merciful. (36/59) And O you sinners! Get apart, this Day. (36/60) O Children of Adam, did I not take a Covenant from you, that you should not be servants to Satan? Surely he (Satan) is your obvious enemy. (36/61) And (did I not take a covenant) that you should become servants to Me? This is (to be on) Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed towards Allah). (36/62) And certainly he (Satan) left in Misguidance a great multitude of you. Do you still not, then, use your minds? (36/63) This is Hell which you were promised! (36/64) Prop yourselves against it (enter into it) this Day because you disbelieved. (36/65) Today, We seal up their mouths. Their hands speak to Us and their feet bear witness of what they earned (committed). (36/66) And if We had willed, We would certainly wreck havoc (blind) their eyes, then they would run about on the way. After this, how should they see? (36/67) And had We willed, We would surely have changed them in their places, then they would have been unable to go forward and backward. (36/68) And whomsoever We cause to live long, We reverse him in creation (take his strength away). Do they still not then use their minds? (36/69) And We have not taught him (the Prophet) poetry, and this would not be suitable for him. This is nothing else than a Reminder (Dhikr) and plain Qur'ân (that is revealed to him). (36/70) (The descent of the Qur'ân) is to warn those who are alive and that the Word (of the Torment) may prove true against the disbelievers. (36/71) Have they not seen how We have created animals for them, out of what Our hands (power)? So they possess them (the cattle). (36/72) And We have subdued them (the animals) unto them, so some of them they have to ride upon, and some of them they eat. (36/73) And therein they have (many) benefits and drinks (milk). Will they still not be grateful? (36/74) And they have taken gods besides Allah, hoping they may be helped. (36/75) They (those gods) cannot help them and they are a soldier made ready (to help) for them (those gods). (36/76) Therefore let not their speech grieve you. Surely We know what they conceal and what they disclose. (36/77) Has human not seen how We have created him from a Nutfah (drop of seed)? Then he became an open opponent to Us. (36/78) And he has coined for Us a similitude, forgetting his own creation. He said: “Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten away”? (36/79) Say: “He will revive them Who produced them at the first, and He is the All-Knowing of all creations”. (36/80) He Who has made for you the fire (oxygen) from the green tree, so that with it you kindle from it. (36/81) Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yes, He is the Supreme Creator, the All-Knowing. (36/82) His Command, when He wills (intends) anything, is only to say to it: “Be”! So it is. (36/83) Therefore Glory be to Him in Whose Hand is the Dominion of all things! And to Him you shall be brought back.

As-Saffat
(37/1) I swear by those found in ranks forming a line (in the Presence of Allah in reverence). (37/2) By those (the saints of the right and the left wing) who gather and direct. (37/3) (I swear) by those who read (the Qur'ân) by remembering (repeating the Name of Allah). (37/4) Most surely your God is indeed One. (37/5) Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. And Lord of the Easts (as well). (37/6) Surely We have embellished the sky of the earth with the stars as adornment. (37/7) And safeguarding against all rebellious Satans. (37/8) They cannot eavesdrop and listen to the Melei A'lâ (Exalted Assembly of Angels) and they are castaway from every side. (37/9) As an outcast, for them is a perpetual, constant torment. (37/10) However who snatches off a word at once, there follows (reaches and destroys) him a brightly shining flame. (37/11) Nay ask them: “Are they stronger as creation or those (others) whom We have created”? Surely We created them of a sticky damp clay. (37/12) Nay, you were amazed and yet they mock. (37/13) And when they are reminded (explained), they do not deliberate (they cannot reach a decision by listening). (37/14) And when they see a Verse (miracle), they scoff. (37/15) And they say: “This is nothing but evident magic”. (37/16) When we are dead and have become dust and bones? Shall we then certainly be raised? (37/17) And also our fathers of old? (37/18) Say: “Yes, and you shall be abject and abased”. (37/19) So it is only a single cry. Then they will be staring (seeing when they are resurrected). (37/20) And they said: “O woe to us! This is the Day of the Religion”. (37/21) This is the Day of the Separation (the just form the unjust, the Day of Judgment) which you called a lie. (37/22) Gather together those who did wrong and their wives and what they used to worship (too). (37/23) (What they worshipped) besides Allah. Then deliver them to the Path of Hell. (37/24) Now arrest them, surely they are responsible. (37/25) What is the matter with you that you do not help one another? (37/26) Nay! They are the submitters today. (37/27) And they question one another by turning to one another. (37/28) They say (said): “It was you who used to come to us from the right side (as if you were on Allah’s side). (37/29) They say (said): “Nay, you were not believers (you did not wish to reach Allah before death)”. (37/30) And we had no authority over you, but you were an extravagant people. (37/31) So now the Word (of torment) of our Lord has been justified against us. Surely we are the ones who shall taste it (the Torment). (37/32) Yes, we led you astray. We were ourselves truly astray. (37/33) Then they are on the Day of Permission sharers in the torment. (37/34) Surely this is what We do to the guilty. (37/35) Surely, when it was said to them: “There is no god but Allah”, they puffed themselves up with pride. (37/36) And they say (said): “What! Shall we indeed give up our gods for a mad poet”? (37/37) Nay, he has brought the truth and he confirmed the sent Messengers. (37/38) Most surely you are the ones who will taste the painful torment. (37/39) And you shall not be punished except for what you used to do. (37/40) Except the utterly pure servants of Allah (Muhlasîn). (37/41) For them is a known sustenance. (37/42) Fruits, and they are the offered. (37/43) In heaven of Naîm (abundant blessings). (37/44) On thrones facing one another. (37/45) A cup shall be made to go round them (filled) from water running out of springs. (37/46) Clear, delicious to the drinkers. (37/47) There is nothing in it that influences the mind nor will they suffer intoxication from it. (37/48) And beside them are women who restrain their eyes (turning their eyes only to their husbands) with wide and beautiful eyes. (37/49) They are like protected (untouched) eggs. (37/50) Then they question mutually turning to one another. (37/51) A speaker of them say (said): “Verily, I had a companion”. (37/52) “Are you indeed of those who confirmed (the Resurrection)”? (37/53) When we are dead and have become dust and bones? Shall we then be certainly to receive punishment? (37/54) (The speaker) said: “Are you the ones who know his state closely”? (37/55) Then knew his state closely and saw him in the midst of the Fire. (37/56) Said: “By Allah! You had almost caused me to perish too”. (37/57) And had it not been for the Blessing of my Lord, I would certainly have been of those who were made to be present (to burn in Hell). (37/58) We are then not to die (any more) aren’t we? (37/59) Except our first death. And we shall not be tormented (either). (37/60) Most surely this is Fevzül Azîm (the supreme Salvation). (37/61) Then the workers of deeds shall work for the like of this (for attaining to supreme Salvation). (37/62) Is this better (as requital that is sent down from Allah) or the tree of Zaqqûm (a horrible tree in Hell)? (37/63) Surely We have made it (Zaqqûm) to be a mischief (test) for the wrong-doers. (37/64) Surely it (Zaqqûm) is a tree that grows in the bottom of Hell! (37/65) Its fruits are as it were the heads of the Satans. (37/66) Then most certainly they are the ones who will eat of it (Zaqqûm) and fill their bellies with it. (37/67) Then most surely they have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. (37/68) Then most surely their return is to Hell. (37/69) Surely they found their forefathers being in Misguidance. (37/70) So in their footsteps they were being hastened on. (37/71) And certainly most of them of old (too) were in Misguidance. (37/72) And certainly We sent to them Warners. (37/73) Then see how the end of those who were warned was! (37/74) Except the Muhlasîn (the utterly pure) servants of Allah, ones. (37/75) And Noah did certainly call upon Us. And how excellent (the case) are those whose calls are answered. (37/76) And We rescued him (Noah) and his household from the great distress. (37/77) And We made his (Noah’s) offspring the remaining ones (until the Day of Resurrection). (37/78) And We left for him (an honorable remembrance) among the later generations. (37/79) Peace be upon Noah within the Worlds. (37/80) Thus do We surely reward the Muhsinûn (good-doers). (37/81) Surely he is of Our believing servants, (who had obtained all the ranks after wishing to reach Allah). (37/82) Then We drowned the others. (37/83) And surely (one of the important one) of those who were of his religion was Abraham. (37/84) He had come to his Lord with a sound heart. (37/85) He had said to his father and his people: “What is it that you worship”? (37/86) Is it by slandering (by forging a lie against Allah) that you desire gods besides Allah? (37/87) What then is your conjecture of the Lord of the Worlds? (37/88) Then he looked at the stars, looking up once. (37/89) Then he said: “Surely I am sick”. (37/90) So they went away from him, turning their back. (37/91) Then he turned aside to their gods and said: “So, do you not eat”? (37/92) Or do you not speak? (37/93) Then he knocked (broke) them hitting with his right hand. (37/94) So they advanced towards him, hastening. (37/95) (Abraham) said: “Do you worship what you carved out”? (37/96) Whereas Allah has (however) created you and what you make. (37/97) They said: “Build up for him high buildings (catapult), then cast him into the blazing fire”! (37/98) Then they desired to prepare a plot against him. Upon that we made them the most despicable. (37/99) And he said: “Verily, I will be the one reaching my Lord. He will make me reach Hidayet”. (37/100) My Lord, grant me (children) of the improved ones (Sâlihîn). (37/101) So We gave him the glad tidings of a gentle son. (37/102) And when he attained to the age of working with him, he said: “O my beloved son! Surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you. So look (think). What is your opinion about this matter”? (Ishmael) said: “O my beloved father! Do what you are commanded. If Allah wills, you will find me of the patient ones”. (37/103) So when they both submitted (to Allah), (Abraham) put him down upon his forehead. (37/104) And We called out to him saying: “O Abraham”! (37/105) You have indeed remained faithful to the dream (you have fulfilled the dream). Surely thus do We reward the Muhsinîn (good-doers). (37/106) Most surely this is a manifest test. (37/107) And We ransomed a great sacrifice for it (for your son). (37/108) And We left for him (an honorable remembrance) among the later generations. (37/109) Peace be on Abraham. (37/110) Thus do We reward the Muhsinîn (good-doers). (37/111) Surely he is one of our believing servants (who has obtained all the ranks by wishing to reach Allah). (37/112) And We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet of the Salihîn (Improved ones). (37/113) And, We blessed (We gave abundance to) him (Abraham) and Isaac. And from both of their offspring are the good-doers and (also) those who plainly wrong themselves. (37/114) And certainly We conferred a blessing on Moses and Aaron. (37/115) And We delivered them both and their people from the great distress. (37/116) And We helped them so they became the victors. (37/117) And We gave them both the Book that explained (the truth). (37/118) And We made them both reach the Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed towards Allah). (37/119) And We left for them both (an honorable remembrance) among the later generations. (37/120) Peace be on Moses and Aaron. (37/121) Thus do We reward the Muhsinîn (good-doers). (37/122) Surely they are both of Our believing servants (who have earned all the ranks by wishing to reach Allah before death). (37/123) And verily, Iliyâs (Elias) is of the sent (as Messenger). (37/124) (Elias) had said to his people: “Will you not be the owners of piety”? (37/125) Do you worship Ba’l (who is an idol)? And forsake the best of the creators? (37/126) Allah is your and your forefathers’ Lord. (37/127) But they belied him (Elias). Therefore they certainly shall be made to be present (in Hell) for sure. (37/128) Except the Muhlasîn (the utterly pure) servants of Allah. (37/129) And We left for him (an honorable remembrance) among the later generations. (37/130) Peace be upon Iliyâs (Elias). (37/131) Thus do We reward the Muhsinîn (good-doers). (37/132) Surely he is one of Our believing servants (who have earned all the ranks by wishing to reach Allah). (37/133) And Lût (Lot) is truly one of those sent (Messengers). (37/134) We delivered him and his household altogether. (37/135) Except an old woman who remained behind. (37/136) Then We destroyed (exterminated) the others. (37/137) And most surely you stop by them in the morning. (37/138) And at night too. Do you still not then use your intelligence? (37/139) And Yûnus (Jonah) is one of those sent (Messengers). (37/140) He had run away to (in) a laden ship. (37/141) And then he cast lots, and he was of those who lost. (37/142) So a fish swallowed him (Jonah). He was blameworthy (he was blaming himself). (37/143) Had he not been of them who glorified. (37/144) He would certainly have remained inside its (the fish’s) belly till the Day of Resurrection. (37/145) Upon that We cast him on to a vacant surface of the earth (on a naked shore) while he was exhausted. (37/146) And we caused a plant of gourd to grow above him (to create a shadow). (37/147) And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more (as a Messenger). (37/148) So they believed (became âmenû, wished to reach Allah while they were alive). So We gave them provision till a time. (37/149) Go ahead, ask them an explanation: “Whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons”? (37/150) Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses? (37/151) Now surely it is of their own lie that they say (certain things). (37/152) “Allah has begotten”. Most surely they are indeed liars. (37/153) Has (Allah) chosen daughters in preference to sons? (37/154) What is the matter with you? How do you judge (like this)? (37/155) Will you not then deliberate? (37/156) Or do you have a plain authority (proof)? (37/157) Then bring your Book, if you are truthful. (37/158) And they have made up (invented) a kinship between Allah and the jinn, and certainly the jinn did know that they would be made to be present (in Hell) (37/159) Glory be to Allah! He is free from what they describe (from their conjecture). (37/160) Except Muhlasîn (the utterly pure) servants of Allah. (37/161) After this surely you and what you worship. (37/162) You cannot cause anyone to fall into mischief against Him (Allah). (37/163) Except those who will go to Hell. (37/164) And there is none from us but has a known rank. (37/165) And most surely we are the ones who stand in rows (in the Presence of Allah). (37/166) And we are most surely the ones who glorify (Allah). (37/167) And surely they only used to say: (37/168) “If only we had with us a Reminder (a Book) like the one given to the ones before us”. (37/169) (Then) we would certainly have been the Muhlasîn (the utterly pure) servants of Allah. (37/170) Regardless of this, they disbelieved in it (in the Reminder, the Qur’ân). But they will come to know soon. (37/171) And certainly Our Word has already gone forth for Our servants sent (they were promised). (37/172) Most surely they are the ones who will be assisted. (37/173) And most surely Our armies shall be the victorious ones. (37/174) Therefore turn away from them till a time. (37/175) And watch them! Soon they too shall see. (37/176) Do they still want Us to hasten Our torment? (37/177) When it (the torment) shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. (37/178) And turn away from them till a time. (37/179) And watch! Soon they shall see as well. (37/180) Your Lord, the Most Powerful, the Most Glorified is free of what they ascribe. (37/181) And peace be on those sent Messengers! (37/182) And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

Sad
(38/1) Sâd, by the Qur’ân, the owner of Remembrance (Dhikr). (38/2) Nay! Disbelievers are in pride and division. (38/3) How many generations did We destroy before them. Then they cried out, but the time of salvation had passed away. (38/4) And they were perplexed that a Warner from among themselves has come to them and the disbelievers said: “This is such a lying sorcerer”. (38/5) Does he make the gods a single God? A strange thing is this, to be sure! (38/6) And the notables of them broke forth (saying): “Go ahead! Remain patient (constant) to your gods! This is most surely a thing sought of you for sure”. (38/7) We never heard of this (that all deities are actually one) in other religions. This is nothing but a forgery. (38/8) Has the Reminder (Dhikr) been sent down to him from among us? Nay! They are in doubt about My Reminder (Dhikr)! Nay! They have not yet tasted My Torment! (38/9) Or are the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving, All-Bestowing with them? (38/10) Or is the Dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by finding the means (the ways). (38/11) (They are) here a defeated army formed of the factions. (38/12) The people of Noah and Âd and the owner of spikes Pharaoh had denied before them as well. (38/13) And the people of Thamûd, and Lot and the Dwellers of ‘Elke’; these were the (denying) factions too. (38/14) They all called the Messengers nothing but liars. So My punishment was justified. (38/15) And they are not waiting for anything but a single Shout (a violent sound-wave), where there will be no other opportunity for them. (38/16) And they said: “Our Lord! Hasten on for us our portion before the Day of Reckoning”. (38/17) Be patient of what they say, and remember Our servant David, the possessor of power. He was certainly Evvâb (He had reached Allah). (38/18) Surely We made the mountains subservient to him. They glorified (Us) with him at sunrise and nightfall. (38/19) And (We made) the birds gathered together (subservient to him too). They were all Evvâb (all had turned to Him and taken refuge in Him). (38/20) And We strengthened his dominion and We gave him wisdom and Fasl-ı Hitâb (the ability to address to audience and to judge with justice by distinguishing the right from wrong). (38/21) And has the news of the litigants come to you? They had made an entry into the private chamber (David’s praying place) by climbing over the walls. (38/22) When they burst in upon David, he was frightened at them. “Do not fear! We are two litigants, of whom one has acted wrongfully towards the other. Therefore decide between us with justice! Do not be extravagant (do not be unjust)! Make us reach the middle course (the just solution)”. (38/23) Surely this is my brother. He has ninety-nine sheep and I have a single sheep. Yet he said: “Make it over to me (give that to me too)”, and he has prevailed against me in speech. (38/24) He (David) said: “Surely he has wronged you in demanding your sheep in addition to his. And most surely most of the partners act wrongfully towards one another. Except those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing). And very few are they! And David guessed that we had tried him. So he sought Forgiveness of his Lord and he fell down prostrate. And he turned to his Lord (he has reached his Lord with his words and seeing Him, and received an answer). (38/25) Therefore We forgave him (in this matter). Most surely he has a high rank in Our Presence and an excellent refuge (resort). (38/26) O David! Surely We have made you a vicegerent in the earth. So rule between mankind with justice and do not follow the low desires (the soul) lest it should lead you astray from the Way of Allah. As for those who go astray from the Way of Allah, there is for them a severe torment because they forgot the Day of Reckoning. (38/27) And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. Then woe to those who disbelieve, on account of Fire (since they will be tormented). (38/28) Shall We treat those who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing) like the mischief-makers in the earth, or those who are the pious (the owners of takwâ) like the wicked. (38/29) We have sent down to you this Blessed Book that they may take caution with its Verses and that Ulûl'elbab (the owners of continuous remembrance, the owners of the secret divine treasures) may deliberate. (38/30) And We bestowed on David, his son Solomon. How excellent servant! Surely he was Evvâb (He had reached Allah). (38/31) There were brought to him in the evening marvelous breed horses ready to run. (38/32) Then he said: “Surely I love (them) with the love of goodness (with the love of those who have attained to continuous remembrance) because I remember (repeat the Name of) my Lord”. (When the horses) disappeared (running swiftly and raising clouds of dust) behind the curtain. (38/33) (He said:) “Bring them back to me”. So he began to caress their legs and necks. (38/34) And certainly We tried Solomon, and We made him reach on his throne as a (mere) body, then he turned (departed). (38/35) He said: “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a dominion which cannot be attained by anyone else after me. Verily, you are All-Forgiving. (38/36) Upon that We made the wind subservient to him. By his command, it would go where ever he desired blowing gently. (38/37) And also all the devils that they are the builders and divers. (38/38) And the others (too) fettered in chains (given to his command). (38/39) These are Our gifts. So bestow freely or withhold, without reckoning. (38/40) And most surely he has a high rank in Our Presence and an excellent refuge (resort). (38/41) And remember Our servant Job (Ayyûb). He had called upon his Lord, saying: “Verily, Satan had distress and torment touched me”. (38/42) Strike (the ground) with your foot. Here is a cool water to wash and drink. (38/43) And We bestowed on Him his family and the like of it with them, as a Mercy from Us, and as a reminder (Dhikr) for Ulûl'elbab (the owners of the continuous Dhikr, owners of the secret divine treasures). (38/44) And (O, Job) take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike with it and do not break your oath. Surely We found him patient. What an excellent servant he was! Surely he was Evvâb (he had reached Allah, submitted his spirit to Allah by making it reach Allah before death). (38/45) And remember Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, men of power and vision. (38/46) Surely We made them utterly pure (servants) as the owners of the utter purity remembering the Home (of the Hereafter). (38/47) And most surely they are absolutely of ‘the best and the chosen’ in Our Presence. (38/48) And remember Ishmael, Elisha (Alyasa) and Isaiah (Dhu’l Kifl). They were all of the best. (38/49) This (the Glorious Qur’ân) is a Reminder (Dhikr). And most surely there is indeed the Best Refuge (the Esence of Allah) for the owners of piety. (38/50) There are heavens of Eden whose doors are opened for them. (38/51) Reclining therein, they ask for many fruits and drink. (38/52) And with them are women restraining their eyes (looking only at their husbands), who are in same age. (38/53) This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning. (38/54) Most surely this is Our endless sustenance. (38/55) This (is the state of those who are in heaven). And most surely there is an evil refuge (resort) for the inordinate ones. (38/56) Hell; they enter it. That is a terrible resting place. (38/57) This (is the state of those who are in hell), so let them taste the boiling water and dirty wound discharges. (38/58) And other (torments) of its form in pairs. (38/59) This is a group that will enter (the torment) along with you. No greeting for them. Surely they are the ones who will enter the Fire. (38/60) They said: “Nay! In reality there is no greeting to you. You offered it to us (you caused us to have this torment). Now how evil as a resting-place (hell). (38/61) They said: “Our Lord, whoever offered this to us (whoever has caused us to come here) add to him double torment in the Fire”! (38/62) And (those who are in Hell) said: “Why do we not see (here in hell) those whom we used to count among the worst ones”? (38/63) We took them as an object of mockery. Or have (our) eyes glided from them (that we could not see them)? (38/64) Verily the mutual dispute of the inmates of the Fire is the very truth. (38/65) Say: “I am only a Warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Destroyer. (38/66) The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving. (38/67) Say: “That (Qur’ân) is great news. (38/68) You are the ones who turn aside from it. (38/69) I had no knowledge when they were arguing at the Mele’il A’lâ. (38/70) It is being revealed unto me that I am only a plain Warner. (38/71) Your Lord had said to the angels: “Surely I am going to create a human being from clay (out of mire)”. (38/72) So when I design him and breathe into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him, prostrating! (38/73) Upon that all the angels prostrated themselves. (38/74) Except Iblîs (Lucifer) that he became haughty and he has been one of the disbelievers. (38/75) (Allah) said: “O Iblîs (Lucifer)! What prevented you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with My Hands (with My Power)? You got arrogant! Or are you one of the high exalted ones”? (38/76) (Iblîs) said: “I am better than he. You have created me of fire and You created him of clay”. (38/77) (Allah) said: “Then get out of it (heaven)! Now surely you are an outcast”. (38/78) And surely My Curse is on you until the Day of the Religion. (38/79) (Iblîs) said: “My Lord, then respite me to the Day when they are raised (resurrected)”. (38/80) (Allah) said: “Surely you are of the respited ones”. (38/81) Till the Day of the time known. (38/82) (Iblîs) said: “Then by your Might, I will surely exacerbate them all”. (38/83) Except Your Muhlasîn (the utterly pure) Servants from among them. (38/84) (Allah) said: “This is indeed the truth and I speak the truth”. (38/85) I will most certainly fill hell with you and with all those among them who follow you. (38/86) Say: “I do not ask you for any wage for it (for my conveying of the Message), nor am I of those who make responsible”. (38/87) It (the Qur’an) is only a Reminder (Dhikr) for the Worlds. (38/88) And most certainly you will come to know its news after a while.

Az-Zumar
(39/1) The descent of the Book is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (39/2) Surely We have sent down the Book to you with the truth, therefore become a servant to Allah making the Religion pure for Him (as being a Muhlis). (39/3) The pure Religion is for Allah, is not it? And those who took friends besides Him (Allah), (said): “We only worship them (idols) that they may make us nearer to Allah”. Surely Allah judges between them in that which they differ. Surely Allah does not deliver those who are liars, and deniers to HidayetH. (39/4) If Allah had willed to take a son, He surely would have chosen whom He willed out of those whom He created. Glory be to Him (He is above all). He is Allah, the One, the Destroyer. (39/5) (Allah) has created the heavens and the earth with the truth. He converts the night into day and the day into night. He has subjected the sun and the moon (to command). They all run on to an assigned term (in their orbit). Is not He the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving? (39/6) He created you from a single soul, then made from it his wife. And he has sent down for you eight pairs of the four legged animals. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, a creation after a creation (changing your form from one to another), in three stages of darkness. This is your Lord, Allah. His is the Dominion. There is no god but He. Yet, how then are you still turned away? (39/7) If you deny, surely Allah is Self-Sufficient (doesn’t need you). And He is not Pleased with disbelief (ungratefulness) for His servants. And if you are grateful, He becomes Pleased with you. No bearer of burdens bears the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return. So He will inform you of what you used to do. Surely He is the All-Knower of what is in the bosoms. (39/8) And when some harm touches man, he calls upon his Lord, turning to Him. Then when (Allah) bestows a Blessing upon him from Himself, he forgets that he called upon Him before. He sets up equals to Allah, in order to mislead (others) from His Way. Say: “Enjoy yourself in your disbelief a little; surely you are of the inmates of hell”. (39/9) Is the one who is obedient (to Allah, worships Allah devoutly) during hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of Allah? Say: “Are those who know and those who do not know ever equal? Only the ûli’l elbâb (the owners of the continuous remembrance, the owners of the secret divine treasures) understand”. (39/10) Say: “O my servants, who believe, be the owners of piety towards your Lord! There is good for those who are the best of the best in this world and Allah’s earth is spacious. But the patient are paid back their reward without measure. (39/11) Say: “Certainly I am commanded that I should become a servant to Allah, making the religion pure for Him”. (39/12) And I am commanded to be the first of those who is submitted. (39/13) Say: “If I rebel against my Lord, I fear the torment of a great Day”. (39/14) Say: “I become a servant to Allah, making my religion pure for Him”. (39/15) Worship then what you like besides Him. Say: “Surely those who make themselves and their families fall into Loss are those who will be exposed to Loss on the Day of Resurrection”. Is not this a clear Loss? (39/16) For them there are shadows (coverings) of Fire, above them and shadows beneath them. Just like that Allah frightens His servants with that. O My servants! Therefore have piety towards Me. (39/17) And those who saved themselves from being servants to At-Tâghût (human and jinn Satans). Because they turned to Allah (they wished to reach Allah while alive). For them there are glad tidings. Therefore give good tidings to My servants! (39/18) They listen to the Word, then follow the best of it. Those are they whom Allah caused to attain Hidayet. And those it is who are ûli’l elbâb (the owners of the continuous Dhikr, the owners of the secret divine treasures). (39/19) Then if the Word of the torment is justified upon one, can you rescue him who is in the Fire? (39/20) But those who have piety towards their Lord, for them are built lofty mansions (high ranks) one above another under which the rivers flow. The Promise of Allah that Allah never fails in His Promise. (39/21) Have you not seen that Allah sends down water from the sky, and then makes it to join the springs? Then brings forth therewith crops of various colors. Then it withers so that you see it yellow. Then He makes it a dry stick. Most surely there is indeed a reminder (lesson) for ûli’l elbâb (the owners of the continuous Dhikr, the owners of the secret treasures of Allah). (39/22) Whose heart Allah slit for Islam (to submit to Allah) so that he is upon a glorious light from his Lord, is not he? Woe to those whose hearts are darkened (and hardened) from the Remembrance (Dhikr) of Allah! Those are in a manifest Misguidance. (39/23) Allah sent down the most beautiful (among His glorious lights, mercy, virtues and benedictions) ones in pairs (benedictions-mercy and benedictions-virtue) as similar to the Book. With those (glorious lights), the skins of those who have reverence tremble. Then with the Dhikr of Allah (remembering and repeating the Name of Allah), their skins and their hearts (souls’ hearts) get softer (find peace). This is the “HİDAYET” of Allah, delivers with that whomever He wills to Hidayet. And for him whom Allah leaves in Misguidance, there is none who can take him to HİDAYET. (39/24) Then, who may guard his face (his physical body) from the evil torment on the Day of Resurrection? And it will be said to the wrongdoers: “Taste what you have earned (the punishment of your sins)”. (39/25) Those before them belied (too), therefore the torment came to them from whence they did not perceive. (39/26) So Allah made them taste the disgrace in the life of the world, and certainly the torment of the Hereafter is greater. Did they but know! (39/27) And certainly We have set forth to mankind in this Qur’ân examples of every sort. It is hoped that they may deliberate (consider). (39/28) (This is) an Arabic Qur’ân without any crookedness (contradictions, flaws). It is hoped that they may become the owners of piety. (39/29) Allah set forth this example: ‘Is the case of a man who is a partner with several others who are differing one another be same with a man submitting to one man only’? Praise be to Allah. But most of them know not. (39/30) Surely you are subject to death too and they certainly are subject to death as well. (39/31) Then surely on the Day of Resurrection in your Lord’s Presence you will be defendants and plaintiffs.
